Angels, unless they stick to the Doyle leak from May...which the industry expects them to do.renostl wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 13:53 pmCrav, craviduce wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 13:25 pm BPJ's final mock.... Willits

Thank you doing these.
It has almost become a consensus with the top 5 now by several of the prognosticators
in what by some of the same people calling it an uncertain draft.
Which team do you think upsets this
LAA?
the Cards?
Very sound reasoning.Melville wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 13:00 pmArnold and Doyle would be the right pick for STL - but if both are gone, I would prefer Arquette over Willits.82birds wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 11:10 amArquette to the Pirates seems way out of the norm for them.rockondlouie wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 11:09 am^^^THIS^^^craviduce wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 10:05 am Baseball America's Final Mock...7.0
1. Nationals ~ Anderson, LHP, LSU
2. Angels ~ Doyle, LHP, Tennessee
3. Mariners ~ Hernandez, RHP, Corona HS, Calif.
4. Rockies ~ Holliday, SS/3B, Stillwater HS, Okla.
5. Cardinals ~ Willits, SS, Ft. Cobb-Broxton HS, Okla.
6. Pirates ~ Arquette, SS, Oregon St.
But would love for the Rockies to pass on Matty's boy but they won't, too good a player and marketing opportunity given how popular Matt was in Denver.
Rockies are in a very interesting spot, and it will be interesting to watch.
Since one or more of Anderson, Doyle, Hernandez, or Arnold are guaranteed to be available - that is the group they should choose from.
Which would probably make Holiday available at 5.
That would put the Cardinals in position to take Holiday since the top 4 arms would be off the board.
That said, I do not expect the Rockies to be smart enough to draft pitching if Holiday is on the board.
They will make the PR pick, not the baseball pick.
yes, on Irish....for me, fwiwrenostl wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 14:07 pmVery sound reasoning.Melville wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 13:00 pmArnold and Doyle would be the right pick for STL - but if both are gone, I would prefer Arquette over Willits.82birds wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 11:10 amArquette to the Pirates seems way out of the norm for them.rockondlouie wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 11:09 am^^^THIS^^^craviduce wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 10:05 am Baseball America's Final Mock...7.0

Holliday himself MIGHT have upset the top of this draft by his asking price vs what Willits has done
with his asking price. I don't agree with the guess on Arquette as a pick over Willits. If I follow the
reasoning I'd go Irish over Willits.
