Let’s not forget Bob Gibson’s incredible 1968 season. A 1.12 ERA for a complete season will never be touched. Throwing in the fact that Gibson threw over 300 innings that year. He wasn’t just a qualifier but a guy who took the ball every 4-5 days.
The Cy Young, Walter Johnson numbers are beyond ridiculous but did come in a different time. The 1.12 ERA is more of a modern day version and given the fact that Gibby threw over 300 innings, I don’t see that ever being touched.

It's not quite the record you think. Nicol had 138 stolen bases in 1887, however prior to 1898 a stolen base was credited to a baserunner who reached an extra base on a hit from another player,

It's pretty certain that no one will ever come even close to Eddie Collins' record for sacrifice hits in a career -- 512.
Can you name the only player in the last 25 years that came within 300 SH of the record?

One of the most unbreakable records in all of sports is right in front of our noses but I never hear it referred to. Mr Fernando Tatis hit two grand slams in one inning, off the same pitcher!! If that ever happens again at any level above little league it's probably a sign of an upcoming apocalypse!!!

one feat that has no chance EVER of happening again:
Tatis
2 grand slams in the same inning
off the same pitcher
the "off the same pitcher" part makes this 100% sure to never happen again.

I have a record that would be pretty tough to equal that Involves a Cardinal legend .
Record .. PLayer with more than 3,500 career hits that had exactly the same number at 'home' vs. 'away' games.
Stan Musial 3,630 total hits 1,815 at HOME and 1,815 AWAY
BTW Only 5 players currently have hit the 3,500 or more career hits .. Rose, Cobb, Aaron, Musial , Ichiro Suzuki (if you combine his MLB & Japanese hits )

You have to get on base before you can steal one. So far Scott has not shown much in the way of getting on base.

Mack owned the Athletics and despite some really bad seasons he never fired himself.
He became owner of a MLB franchise despite the fact he had little money. He was asked to manage a team in the new league and agreed in exchange for 25% ownership which he turned into 100% ownership.
