He's almost hitting .400 at .392
He's got 25 HR's
OPS is a staggering 1.264
Has 59 RBI's
His OBP is at 50% Insane!!
He's on pace for .392 60 and 142
This is incredible when you consider only 16 players hitting
above .300 and the pitching is likely better than ever.
Only Barry Bonds, Babe Ruth and Ted Williams could compare.
Barry was on roids, Babe and Ted were playing in a soft pitching era.
I think this guy if it continues claims the best season in history.
Who says no?
Probably my favorite player to watch take AB’s. That’s an insane season!
He's what 6' 7" and 275? Huge dude.
Plays OF pretty well.
Just a freak of nature.
I'm a big guy (6'3"/225 lbs) but when they came to town a couple years ago I went down by the Yankees dugout and when he walked by I felt like a little kid, the man is huge.
Yeah, he's a good guy too.
Just a marvel of a man.
Yea really good guy... he stopped for about 30 seconds, chatted a bit and smiled for a pic my youngest daughter wanted.
Glad to hear that.
From everything you hear, he's just that
nice of a guy.
Not many in sports like him.
Maybe a handful of guys in all of sport.

Judge is on another planet than any hitter in the game though. And yes many, many, many people are talking about it.
I am talking about on our forum.

Not on here anyway.
Maybe because this forum is entitled "Cards Talk" ?

Could be.
But this is extraordinary.

I was on the field years ago when Miguel Cabrera was a kid with the Marlins. He was massive……and he was still skinny. Was also in line at Quiznos in Creve Couer with Big Mac during his heyday in Stl. Large Humans…..the extra power and leverage that size generates is special. Shame Walker can’t get it together.

Update: Judge hit a solo HR Friday night at Boston (#26) in the 9th inning to tie the game at 1-1. Prior to that he had struck out 3 times. Saturday night he went 0 for 4 with 3 strikeouts. Today he also went 0 for 4 with 3 strikeouts. Rough series as the Yanks were swept by the Sawx. Judge is still batting a sizzling .378 even after going 1 for 12 with 9 K's.

His BAbip is .462

That's over 100 points higher than his career number. So he's been really lucky so far. He'll almost certainly regress back towards his career norms and his other numbers will decline...

Unless he's cheating which is always a possibility these days. :(

I will say no. I think 2021 Ohtani was the greatest season of all time. What Judge is doing is amazing and definitely right up there close. Surprised nobody here mentions Big Mac in 1998.

He's going to get the Barry Bonds treatment
before too long.
Unreal.
The difference between him and Bonds is Bonds would not swing at anything outside of his main hitting zone. Bonds left a lot of RBI on the table because of it. Actually hurt the team by taking so many walks.

Judge, on the other hand, will hit a ball 2 inches off the plate, as a dominating RBI guy should do.

If I'm paying Bonds to be THE guy, I dont want him leading the league in Walks. He was a good enough hitter where he could have expanded his zone. He chose not to.

Bonds is 6th all-time in RBI
Bonds had over 100 RBI 12 times... Judge has 3. This year will be just his 4th.
Bonds had 1216 RBI by his age 33 season.... Judge has 776 at age 33
Bonds 162 game RBI average is 108. Judge is barely above that at 112.

There is a way to praise Judge without being the stupidest about it

How bout this: Aaron Judge has the greatest 162 game home run average in the history of baseball, with 52. Better than Bonds, Ruth and McGwire and every one of the 20,000 players that has ever played the sport.
