Biggest difference appeared to be pitch mix: more CB (23%) and fewer cutters (13%) and sliders (12%), all to RHH. He has skewed more heavily toward the harder CU/SL combo (37.8% combined) and away from the slow CB (11.2%) this year, especially against RHH, but today was a different story for whatever reason. With the Blue Jays' all-RH lineup today, I would have expected a lot more CU/SL and less CB.

Thanks. I never know whether or not to believe Kiley. I suppose we don't have inning by inning FB velocity.

Yeah, he needs a break. Where do you source this? I used to look at Brooks Baseball but that was always day after data.

Inning-by-inning is just Savant pitch data with manual calculation of averages.

Is that about the same as he was throwing earlier in the season?

Toronto can hit. Not a great start but could have been worse.

Post game interview said everything was fine. Felt good, etc. No need to worry the Best Minds in MLB are monitoring his situation.

“Felt better physically today,” Liberatore said. “Shapes, bends, everything felt like it was in a much better spot today. So, feel confident in that moving forward.”

While Liberatore’s four-seam fastball velocity dipped as low as 91.3 after starting in the mid-90’s, it was still a far cry from dropping as low as 89.5 in his last outing.

“It was still [about] average velo over the course of the entire outing,” Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said. “It was still better than last time. He felt much better, so that's a plus. So, him coming out of this outing feeling positive ... just physically getting through that outing, we're in a good spot.”

Of course the fact the Cards lost the game, were swept by Blue Jays, and losing home stand record was never important enough to be mentioned.

Looks to me he’s not moving forward toward the batter when he follows through, stays upright.
