they weren't watching a #1 defenseman, someone who was on the ice for 18 of the Blues 20 shots in a Game 7.
Is that really right? That’s crazy.
That 4 games of the final he had 6 points +5
Game 7
On ice for 18 of 20 shots the Blues had
1+1, +3
4 shots blocked
Led playoffs in defenseman scoring
Led Blues in ice time
First Blues Cup touched
Not a true #1 though. Silly stuff

That is a crazy stat man. He led the entire NHL (all players) in assists and scored the cup winner yup. Like Lebrun said, it was as good as he’s seen any defenseman play in a final in recent memory. He used the words jaw dropping and mesmerizing.

I really wish Parayko would have challenged (at least) Stanley to fight in the 1st. He was humiliating Snuggerud (and others) badly. Someone needs to challenge him, but they look scared of him. Stanley has the crazy eyes lol
He didn't humiliate anyone but himself. He was pushing around a guy 6" shorter and 45 pounds lighter that had absolutely zero interest in engaging. He looked like an absolute goof ball. He also sucks at hockey.
Humiliated himself? By scaring and intimidating younger players? By blowing up guys? By saying let’s go…I’ll effing kill you. He’s had a massive impact in this series and he’s doing exactly as he should. They look scared of him
He's an absolute freaking puzzzzi that goes after players like Faksa and Snuggerud. He looked pitiful out there and sucks at hockey. Big time sucks.
How is he a [kittycat]? And the Blues are allowing a [kittycat] to blow up Kyrou, give little headbutts to snuggarud, call them all [kittycats] and challenge Buchnevich to fight…
That doesn’t make sense
Blues are the smaller team but still being physical. It makes zero sense to take on the Jets biggest, toughest player. Let him do his little shtick and laugh at him while he does it and try to bait him into a penalty. The Blues just need to keep blowing up Scheifele and other players that matter a lot more than Stanley.

Nobody is laughing at him man. He destroyed Kyrou and is in the grill of everyone. They look scared. Did you see Snuggarud’s face? He wouldn’t even look at him. Bcunevich too. He’s intimidating them … make no mistake about that

That 18 of 20 shots stat is nuts and with 4 blocks. Army signed Krug for $2 mil less. Lol
That’s one of the most impressive stats I’ve ever come across…truly. That is truly crazy. The Blues would have had 2 shots in the 35 minutes he wasn’t on the ice?

Federko was on 101 this morning discussing how comical the situation was involving Snuggerud. The entire crew was laughing out loud about it for minutes. Stanley looked absolutely stupid AF.

Parayko also spent 2-3 mins extra in the penalty box last night due to no whistle after his penalty expired.
He’s barely averaging 20 mins in this series
Ok? He still looked hurt games 1-2. I’d say games 3-4 he still didn’t look 100% even though he looked better. Last night was the most physical I’ve seen him play this series and most aggressive offensively of the series. If he’s 100% now he just got there.

Who has he humiliated? Snuggerud? The same guy that later in the game walked him? Yeah, he was so afraid of mean old Stanley he took the puck right at him and walked right past him. Same with Walker. The guy was -2 in a game they won by 2. I’m sure the Blues hope they keep throwing him out there. He’s not very good.
And oh yeah, he was a healthy scratch the previous game.
[/quote]
Now the Blues fear Stanley and his massive impact. He sooooo big.

Lebrun likes to think of himself as the loquacious type, so it's hardly surprising when he speaks in hyperbole. That said, Petro was awesome in the 19 Finals. Anyone saying otherwise is just bitter, IMHO.

Kelly Hrudey used similar words. Kevin Bieksa (a very smart hockey man and former dman) said pietrangelo had the best 1st pass in the World. Is that hyperbole?

Blues haven't had a true #1 since the days of Pronger and MacInnis...they've had ALOT of 2s, but not what I'd call a build around #1 Dman in a long time.
Petro?
Don’t do it! The topic here is Faulk and Parayko’s icetime. I know it’s hard but it’s possible this doesn’t become yet another Petro thread! Hold, people, hold! Stay strong!
Well it's dumb to say that petro wasn't a number 1. U don't like bleeds. That's cool. But petro was one of the best of his time, nvm a number 1 dman.

Yeah I understand the point. Just assumed you knew he was playing hurt the first few games like every other Blues fan.
23:11 tonight to lead all Blues D. Is that fine for you?
