Many of us mentioned that either Fermin or Barrero should have traveled north after spring training. This was poor roster, construction, and poor foresight by having Donovan at the designated hitter.
Mo's foolish roster construction out Oli in a tough spot.
Siani has no place on this team.
Walker has been pretty good.

He's improved dramatically under J. Jay's tutelage.
Sinai has no place on this team w/VSII establishing himself as an everyday CFer w/ a +1 DRS (tied for 3rd best in MLB).
As we saw last night, Siani here kept them from having a MI when needed.

You know better. You just hitched your wagon to Siani and are now arguing to save face. You don’t have to do that buddy. We all are wrong sometimes. It’s okay.

What's the problem with inserting the backup catcher? He's still available to catch. You'd just need to replace the 2B position with another out of place player.Chubbs0910 wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 11:24 amYeah there's really no excuse. TLR probably cried a little. What did I say a few weeks ago? I said Siani is a better roster edition because the other players are going to get a ton of playing time, and Jordan Walker can use a defensive replacement. Also, Siani can pinch run.
This is the exact way I said he would be used.
Did you really think MS was going to get a bunch of starts w JW/VS/LN starting? Of course not.

The reason he doesn’t get more playing time is he sucks. If he was a better player he would get more playing time. It’s a waste of a roster spot. I’ve never seen a team so dumb their philosophy for the bench is we have to make sure that spot goes to a player who is so terrible he will rarely be usedecleme22 wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 13:25 pmBasil Shabazz wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 13:00 pmHahaecleme22 wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 11:36 amAnd MS has played the role of def replacement 9 games.rockondlouie wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 11:13 amNot only pretty good, Walker's a +2 DRS, only +1 behind the league leaders!Basil Shabazz wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 10:52 amlolecleme22 wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 10:21 amAs long as Walker is in the OF, Siani has a place.rockondlouie wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 09:59 amBingo BasilBasil Shabazz wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 09:43 am Sure it was cute and fun to see the fat guy at second base, but Marmol got lucky.

Kinda pathetic that a 23 year old has to sit due to a stiff back 12 games into a season after a day off.
How is the Unikkkorn Smellville? Never been anything like him.![]()
His lineup blunder forced him to play a C at 2B.
The fact that he was forced to do so is proof positive his lineup choice was a terrible mistake.

So if Barrero, for example, was on the roster, he would see similar PR/def replacement playing time as Siani.
Now all this could change, but Siani does currently serve a role as being a really darn good def replacement and PR.

True except Barrero could do all of than and also play the infield and is right handed which makes him much more versatile and useful than Sianiecleme22 wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 18:58 pmFact is, the org wants the CURRENT roster’s playing time exactly as is.
