Outside of the first few days Arenado has looked pretty bad

Nice VS2, let’s go Saggese!

Arenado now the only Cardinal without a hit today.

We also have a better average with RISP today than the Phillies and yet only 1 run to their 4. While also having more hits overall than them.

The Angels suck.
So do the Pirates.
And the Red Sox are mediocre.
I'd consider the Bosox better than mediocre, altho' their current record is 7-8
(if they were in the NLC, they'd finish ahead of the Cards. probably win the division)

do we get Thomas Saggese here, or Luken Saggese again

nvm, it's Norman

So now we put someone just coming off the IL at 2B and put Donovan at SS?

I would have rather had Gorman pinch hit for Baker than Saggese. Saggese isn’t exactly slumping vs RHP this year with his 1 HR coming off them and an OPS over 1.100.

I imagine Oli was thinking, two on, one swing ties this game
if he PH later for Baker, there might not be two runners on

Scott Barry just as bad as CB Bucknor.

Fair enough.
But......so far this year they are 4-8 when NOT playing is.
That is worse than mediocre.
I still can’t believe we lost that extra inning game to the Pirates?
One of the worst Cardinal performances in memory considering the opponent!

How is it possible that every single crucial missed ump call in this game has gone against St. Louis?

"Umps are awful."

From the umps perspective - yes you are correct but we are consistent.
