Two tough losses in a row but your statement is just dumb. There's a lot to like about this team.

I hope they don’t
How else do you improve the pen? Nearly all elite pen arms were drafted as possible SPs.

I don’t think the Memphis pen is going to improve the situation.
There’s a guy named Granillo I would like to see called up no need to sabotage starters

Tank, baby, Tank!!
I would not have pitched Roycroft but then I would never pitch him. Im not sure what Ollie did wrong other than that. He didnt pull Mikolas early enough but the pitching is thin and the schedule is brutal. Tonight he didn't have any pitchers orher than king who didnt give up runs. The pitching staff is starting to suffer from its lack of strikeouts.

I'm not even going to blame Marmol for using Roycroft. I blame the putz Mo for having him on the roster. And I blame DeWitt for still having Mo around.

OK, but if he’s any good then why is Roycroft even here? We already know he’s a zero.

Nah. Guys like Helsley have ups and downs. Maybe Matan and Laheay.

Roycroft is just a down and should never be on the roster of a winning team

Ask mo my guess is Granillo isn’t on roster and he doesn’t want to risk losing valuable relievers like roycroft and Munoz to make room for him

The future of the team I find quite exciting. This year's team I do not. Minus Gray the pitching is not great. The offense is hit or miss and lacking punch. The defense is often pretty good, so that's nice. But, overall, not an exciting team. They have lots of holes. They blow leads. They fall short on comebacks.

Seems a lot like the last two years. You may think it is dumb all you want. But, I try not to get too excited because I don't want to be let down again. That part of May was quite fun, but I figured they were playing way above their talent level. And, it seems to have been true.

So, I don't see much reason to get too excited about the team. It helps manage expectations and frustration. Sorry if I don't pump sunshine.

Roycroft
And Vilade
And Pallante
And Mikolas
And O'Brien

I dislike Marmol as much as anyone, but we've yet to see what, if anything, he could do with a real roster.

I agree about the excitement over the future.
This season I’m just trying to be patient and not have unrealistic expectations.
Some good young guys.
Rotation needs a boost going into 2026. Hopefully some of the youngsters(McGreevy, Roby, Mathews, Hence, etc) come knocking on the door later this season??

Spot on.
In my younger years I had crazy high expectations. Always looking for the 162-0 season....And I was way too frustrated way too often. Now I have more reasonable expectations. If fact I often expect the worst. So now I am often happily surprised instead of often broken hearted. It works for me.

Go Cards of the future!

We got a glimpse in '22. He did a good job of staying out of Albert, Goldy, and Arenado's way. But then he tried to manage Game 1 of the NLDS. :x

Lol always so funny seeing all the emotional ones come out after every loss.

"FIRE EVERYBODY!!! THEY'RE ALL LOSERS!!"

"I don't care if they just came off a month where they were the best team in all of baseball!! Or just took two of 3 from the dodgers!"

"Idc. Every loss, I must be ANGRY!!"
Ha but now that I'm done picking on the crybabies and know-it-alls, in all seriousness Helsley does need to get it together. Sucks the pitching is blowing games, starters and bullpen. Sucks they ruined both Herrera and Gorman's big at bats
