down pat????
Needs to hit the bull mascot next inning.
Breathing out of the wrong eyelid.

Also, I think we might possibly need to reckon with the fact that Roycroft might be bad.
I am not an Oli fan at all.
And personally I hope he is gone next season.
Pop Warner also. 3/4 of Cards Talk could show better judgement than him at 3B!
That being said....he has too many relievers who are all or nothing.
Leahy has potential.
Fernandez has been very disappointing.
So has King.
Roycroft doubtful.

Whatashame wrote: 07 Apr 2025 19:54 pm How in the hell to you have fan interference but nothing happens. Their ruling is that Siani probably wasn’t going to make the play anyway. That is ridiculous. If the fan interfered, there has to be a repercussion. We have seen players make plays that no one thought they could make. If the fan interferes, we will never know what would have happened after that.
Chip called it correctly . I agreed Siani wasn’t going to catch it. If ball had.n’t that kids glove it was hitting top of fence as Siani’s glove was still short of that height on his leap.
Watch the slow motion replay again . I watched it 3 times.
IMO review got it right unfortunately for Cards.
Go look at slo Mo again .

I remember Thompson telling us how hard he is to strikeout and how he never swings and misses

and the game ends with Willson swinging wildly at a pitch NO WHERE NEAR the strike zone.
WTH is wrong with him this year?

...Cards' 10-hit (+) /game streak comes to an end... Not sure another one or two or 3 hits would have made any difference in the final score tonight...

Team looked tired... These early-season games with cool weather, rainouts, and road games taking their toll...

gpeeps22 wrote: 07 Apr 2025 19:45 pm Chris Roycroft wouldn’t make 29 of 30 MLB rosters. Neither would Fernandez.

Yet this garbage club is using these bums consistently in highs pressure situations.

Fernandez was very good last year and isn't a bum. But this year is definitely a struggle so far. Roycroft is too up and down to be depended on and also was last the same last year.

Contreras is really struggling and you can tell it’s wearing on him. Him not running out the play isn’t like him normally. The thing is, if we can see this, why can’t Oli? He’s doing him no favors by continuing to bat him high in the line up. It just keeps adding pressure to a guy who already does that to himself! This situation is the same as this Spring when Oli refused to move Winn out of the lead off spot. It’s taken several games, but Winn is finally starting to get a little better while batting 9th. Willson needs to sit tomorrow against Skenes, for sure, and then moved down in the order when he returns to the line up. Can you imagine what it would have looked like if he would have left Winn in the lead off spot with Willson batting 2nd?

...Cards just flat out-played tonight... Bucs looked like the better team... Pirates 4-for-4 with RISP and 4 LOB. Cards 1-for-6 with 7 LOB...

This is their first road trip and the fourth game. Not like a 15 game road trip in August. If they get tired this early in the season they need to pack it in and bring up Memphis roster
