Think they are going to be careful with his pitch count, since he was mainly bullpen last year. Likely all season, especially in the second half.
+1 I don’t blame them they mismanaged him early in his career pulling him from bullpen to start so now they have to
Manage his innings or he will hit a wall later in the season
Or he pitches the seventh, say 15 pitches, total for day 107 and it doesn’t have an affect. Maybe it builds stamina and endurance.

Sigh, oh we’ll still 2 out of 3 and a 7-2 road trip is amazing.

Let’s take down the Tigers

Won’t happen with NA up…
One reason to swap him with Herrera, this game can be over with him not getting a chance to hit.
And that's where the lineup can make a big difference. PAs. NA got 1 more than Herrera, and that shouldn't be happening.

Time to install Gorman at 3B and leave him there. I thought that was the plan this year, play these young guys and see what you have or don’t have. NA can’t hit in the clutch

Come on Marmol move Arenado in the batting order.

This loss is on Oli. He just continues to do the same (bleep) and NEVER LEARNS. Keep your pop up machine in the cleanup spot. Keep throwing a horrific pitcher into high leverage spots where he chokes. Does he learn? Nope, not ever. I’m fed up with the little midget. End of year, Oli needs to go.

Exactly it’s stupid to bat Herrera 6th and Nado 4th. Seldom does a close game get down to the 6th hitter late in the game, but more often you can see 3/4 up in the 9th with the game on the line.

The only way I can see Arenado batting 6th is if he goes to Oli and requests it.

Can't see this manager doing it on his own .

Never has. His specialty is hitting homers when the team is already ahead 9-2.

Yep. Lineups can and do matter. You want more PAs for your best hitters.

Ot maybe he blows out his arm and misses the rest of the year or you keep using him deep into games and definitely will hit an Innings wall late in the season and sucks the rest of the season

It would take the blessing of the front office to "offend" Arenado like that. Don't think he has the juice to do it on his own.

Series win.
Great 7-2 road trip!
I still can’t fathom why a total piece of garbage like Roycroft is on the active roster?
Much less.....pitching in a tie game in the 7th????
Let’s keep it rolling at home.

Front office made trading him priorities 1,2, and 3 this past offseason, don’t think they care about offending him that much.

It makes zero sense to keep batting him fourth herrera is the best hitter on the team him hitting fourth behind Donovan would look nice.
