Alcala can bring heat. Control not great at times

We need to see what he can do

We know what we have in Roycraft and Frenandez

Agree. This team is minimum 2 years, probably 3 from contention for anything meaningful, and that’s if Bloom does a good job.
a lot of MO f-ups to fix

I guess he can give up moonshots as well as Roycroft and Fernandez.

But I agree he seems to have a live arm despite the mistake.

knttiger wrote: 12 Sep 2025 19:33 pm I thought last year’s team sucked in situational hitting - this season might be worse. I realize the pitchers are trying to get outs, but when you have runners on the corners, a 2-0 count, maybe don’t swing at pitches off the plate that you can’t drive. Contreras swings at two balls, and ends up grounding into a rlly killing double play. It’s been a season-long lather, rinse, repeat failure n these situations, with very few exceptions. Maddening to watch !
Nice post and agree.
+2
This team needs to improve plate discipline in the worst way!

Why are we trying to bunt down 5 runs? On a pitch over his head?
Are these players really this dumb?

it MIGHT make sense if we were down by 1 or 2
but being down 5, it doesn't make sense
