Wondering what's the record for inside-the-park homeruns given up in a season.

Oli being Oli. I am sure he hopes to grab a lead, then swap Church into CF and V out of the game. I don't understand why Blaze is not hitting in an RBI position instead of Winn..... But I often have problems understanding Oli's lineups...

Winn is hitting .294/.364/.388 vs LHP. 2nd best batting average vs LHP on the Cardinals behind Walker and 3rd best OBP vs LHP on the Cardinals behind Walker and Herrera. I can see the logic somewhat, although I'd prefer this:

1. Wetherholt
2. Winn
3. Herrera
4. Walker
5. Velazquez
6. Jordan
7. Fermin
8. Burleson (if he has to play)
9. Pages (if he has to catch)

Personally I'd rather sit Burleson, move Jordan to 1B, Fermin to 3B, and play Church and bat him 9th.

Yet Oli for some reason has never grasped how to set a lineup card.

Velazquez hasn't met a pitcher unable to strike him out lately. Put Jordan at 5, drop Velazquez to 7 or below until he heats back up.

And B. Jordan 6th where he might come up w/men on base (he kills it w/men on base).

He very much seems to not be slowing down in that respect. Eventually he will, but they should be riding him while he's hot. Sort of reminds me of pre-injury Allen Craig. That guy was a beast with men in base. Always thought he'll come back to earth never did until the knee (it was the knee, right). Freak injury? (unless I'm mixing him up with someone else). Brain is a little fuzzy this morning.

Glad you mentioned Craig. We forget how good he was. He really was a beast with men on base. Jordan has shown similar tendencies with men on base. Good comp.

I mentioned AC the other day, but more in the way his walk rate is low and he will have to rely on good contact and higher BA to succeed.
