I would take that in a heart beat
Correct me if I am wrong but Ottawa's first is like 32 isn't it (the compensatory pick)? That isn't much of a first.
Their 2026 1st is #32, yeah.

Yes, but the article refers to the 27 1st.

The Average Gatsby wrote: 13 May 2026 13:52 pm They wouldn’t need to add a first rounder. I’d do Kyrou for Yakemchuk straight up. I doubt they would, or that Kyrou would go there though. But since we’re trading guys with NTC’s to Ottawa we might as well ship them Parayko for Pinto as well.
A package for Pinto would be great.

On a aside, JK would bring a solid return no matter where he went.
I agree with you about Kyrou. But Yakemchuk is their top prospect by a wide margin and I doubt they’d trade him.
I tend to agree on his limits but just countering all the doom and gloom on what JK will/can bring. This forum is harder on him than a lot of suitors will be.

Ottawa is not allowed to trade their 2026 draft pick as part of it being rewarded.

Sens are not trading Yakemchuk. He is gonna be their anchor at RD for many years.

No. Not willing to give up Jiricek until we see what he can do for us at the NHL level.

Nah he's from Toronto. He'd have to want to go to Ottawa for whatever reason. Probably not high on his list.
Well, it's not a far drive from Toronto to Ottawa and also not that far from Division Rivals Montreal, Buffalo even Detroit and obviously Toronto. So, his family can get there without a very difficult trip at all and stay in a nice hotel. AND he avoids the Maple Leaf Twilight Zone.
Those guys are so busy in-season. I think we make a bigger deal out of whatever City than the majority of players do. It's about the team, the opportunity to win, the opportunity to achieve and being paid well.
Unless you are a stl fan then it's income tax, or if your a blue player. It's pizza.

Then we can use our picks move up and get stenberg
If the Blues had #2 in this draft would you take 11,15,31,32 if you were a bubble team in a pillow soft division with a legit top 3 player in the world on your team?

The blues don’t have the ammo to get to 2 without feeling some real pain.

3 is more likely. I think it would be smart of Vancouver to trade down in this draft given their situation and the depth of this draft. They need a lot of good young talent. One guy is not going to make a dent in that mess. Also, we would get a 2027 first, as the Sens cannot trade their 2026 pick.

I don't think in all the years Ottawa has had a team, I have ever heard someone requesting to play there. Pretty crazy when you think about it.
Both Perron and Tarasenko signed as free agents.

Why would Kyrou waive his NTC to go to Ottawa?

Or you find a team with 2 number ones and move Thomas to the 2nd line where he actually belongs.

Look Ace. Fact is on most teams Thomas is a 2C and a on a few he’s a 3C or plays wing.

It’s ok to acknowledge that. Even Armstrong said we value Thomas more than everyone else

You brought this up a week ago or so. Someone came with you with facts and you ignored it. Now you bring it up again.
