He did a nice piece of hitting. Walker's drive to center should have been caught but those things happen. JJ crushed it today. Good looking talent there. The Cards relief was shaky at best. How often do you walk 3 in the 9th and not give up a run? A little disappointed in Libertore. I was hoping for a more dominant outing but it was opening day. Just hope the big games don't become a problem for him. Funny the Cards were actually outhit I think, but they hit the bombs. Anyway, when/if the run off about 7 or 8 losses in a row will you all be crowing? Not likely. One last thought, Scott II showed what he's capable of and why he was rated so highly. I hope he keeps it up, he could be a game changer for this offense. A good day for the Cards though and nothing makes me happier.
Certainly not. That's when you will be crowing.

lol when they give up 7 runs the usually don’t win is doom and gloom talk for they didn’t win the right way. And if they win 7 or 8 games in a row the doom and gloomers will dismiss it. And I was very impressed by liebratore he didn’t have his best stuff but made big pitches when he needed to and gutted through 5 innings giving up just 1 run. Good pitchers bend but don’t break when they don’t have their best stuff I was impressed. Last season when he didn’t have it all working he got lit up this shows improvement

The offense stuck with it after falling behind big. That was great to see.

I think the defense should be solid.

Now will this lead them to a NLC championship? Maybe, maybe not. Hopefully it propells them to some momentum.

For everyone who says im only negative, there is some positive for you. I point out the good and bad that I see.
I will say this though. It was opening day in St Louis and I'm sure a lot of those pitchers had a severe case of the butterflies in the belly. We'll see how they progress once the games get more mundane.
I agree with that. Once roles settle, I think they'll be ok.

Spot on regarding Liberatore. He did what tor guys do. Keep the team in the game without your best stuff.

What's really funny is people who take 1 game of 162 and draw conclusions.

It was a great comeback win. How many wins this team will end up with is very much up in the air.

There is always tomorrow
He probably posted the same last year after they swept the Twins.
