SLU will know if they earned an automatic bid well before the selection show late Sunday afternoontodd-parker wrote: ↑10 Mar 2026 20:44 pm We'll know by late Sunday afternoon whether SLU has earned an automatic bid (doubtful) or gets an at-large bid based on early season performance and NET and WAB rankings (Billikens currently with a 27 NET and a 40 WAB). Will those numbers be good enough? Have to at least make A-10 tourney final.

Your opinion doesn't factor in how other teams fare in other conference tournaments.
SMU, Indiana, Cincinnati, California, Va Tech, and Texas all lost opening games.

Whoops. Miami (Ohio) suffers their first loss of the season in their opening game of the Mid-American conference tourney. Does this mean 2 bids to the Mid-American Conf and only 1 from the A-10? Tournament predictions had both SLU and VCU getting in. Pressure is on!

Re: Hello NIT!
SLU draws George Washington for their 1st matchup in the A-10 tourney. Reminder that when these two teams met in late January, Geo Wash led by 10 at half and the game was tied with a minute to go before an Avila 3-pointer helped clinch the win.
Team's going to need a big effort if they want to advance.

Another dismal 1st half performance for the Billikens against GW in the A-10 tourney. Down 14 at the half. Shooting 38%, 23% from 3, 8 turnovers, 10 founds, getting outworked on the glass.
At this point, team doesn't deserve a bid to the NCAA. Would probably be more fun to see them play Mizzou in the NIT.

Never a doubt! SLU moves on with an 88-81 victory. Most likely playing Dayton tomorrow. Largest comeback in program history.

Feel like we need to accept that the slow starts are a thing that are not going to go away this season. More often than not they overcome them, like today. Very likely will be the downfall that ends the season next weekend or the weekend after.
I think they have locked up a spot in the tourney even if they lose tomorrow or Sunday. At this stage all I hope is they avoid the 8/9 line. I much prefer a 7, which might be in reach if they win the tourney, or a 10/11/12 type seeding if they lose tomorrow or Sunday. 8/9 gets a 1 seed if you win the 8/9 game. No bueno.
Dream scenario is they win the A10 tourney, get a 7 seed and the committee displays a sense of humor and matches them up against a 10 seed Mizzou in the St. Louis region. Though I'm not 100% sure how the committee feels about Mizzou.

Good thing for me is I don't see it happening.
