I do not want 2 17HTV players. Get ONE top prospect. Any 4 for 1 is disappointing. Quantity is not what this team needed. They needed one prospect with 30 HTV. Not 2 15 HTVOzziesfan41 wrote: ↑02 Feb 2026 19:58 pmAnd get a worse return that would be even more disappointingYouboughtit wrote: ↑02 Feb 2026 17:35 pmThe only way I make a trade with Seattle is if it included Montez or Sloan. He had 37 HTV. Montez is 28 HTV. Him and a pick is equalalw80 wrote: ↑02 Feb 2026 20:30 pmYou're not getting a top prospect for BD.Youboughtit wrote: ↑02 Feb 2026 20:29 pmI do not want 2 17HTV players. Get ONE top prospect. All I really want to know is; what is this kid's upside? To this day, I still don't know if he has the potential (yes, potential) to be a TOTR arm

I believe they do. Read an article on mlb.com where it said he would start right handed on Saturday, then come back on Wednesday as a lefty reliever, then start as a righty the next Saturday. He really struggled with that. Relieved in 3 games for 2 innings and gave up 9 runs. Then they stopped that plan.KeeptheRamsinSTL wrote: ↑02 Feb 2026 18:08 pmDo those stats include when he was pitching lefthanded? He is much better from the right side. I don't see him pitching lefthanded in the majors.Ace wrote: ↑02 Feb 2026 17:10 pm 4.58 ERA and 14 home runs (74.2 IP) in A+ for a 22 year old top pitching prospect are some serious red flags, especially in a centerpiece coming back for Donovan. Will be rooting this kid on but not really expecting much. Screams future middle reliever, not an impressive return. Was Pro Chaim Bloom until this deal. I would rather keep Donovan and get his value in his early 30s when hopefully we compete again.
And yes, I'm aware of his numbers at AA in 33.2 IP. Any decent pitching prospects usually excel at A+, especially at 22 years old.
Take away the left handed option for a bit, which was the plan in Seattle, and see what he’s got. Think he will take off focusing on the right side.

Didn't they just give their number 4 overall for a relief pitcher from the nationals?..alw80 wrote: ↑02 Feb 2026 20:30 pmYou're not getting a top prospect for BD.Youboughtit wrote: ↑02 Feb 2026 20:29 pmI do not want 2 17HTV players. Makes me wonder what was asked for and denied. Seattle did bring in a 3rd team to push it over the line.Youboughtit wrote: ↑02 Feb 2026 20:31 pmAny 4 for 1 is disappointing. Adding to BD seems to have been something to do with either Seattle or TB especially with the low amount needed
from TB. Those draft picks seem to have been valued highly by Bloom. Mortimer better do well.
