The Cardinals were not getting to a 90+ roster in 2026 within any conceivable amount of spending.
The Cardinals can't spend, you all stopped showing up, called for boycotts, bashed on the team and wrecked St. Louis baseball. Because all they did was put together 90 win teams that had a chance to go deep in the playoffs. That was the model, I loved it, thought it was the best run of Cardinals baseball ever and millions of fans showed up for it.

For sure, Gray is superior to May
But in this re-build season (and I don't like it anymore than you Ike) I understand what's happening so landing a couple young starters for Gray while replacing him w/May may have the most we could hope for given BDWJr wasn't going to spend any big money.

The Cards haven’t had a team that was built to go deep in the playoffs for nearly 10 years. They haven’t had a rotation that could hold up in the playoffs in a long time. They’ve been competitive but being competitive and being built to win the World Series isn’t the same thing.

Okay set it up I'm 46. NOOOOO you all have no patience!!! That is one of the huge issues here. If Mr. Mo replaced Mikolas with Dustin May you all would call the club cheap. With a healthy May and and another upgrade or two we are the Blue Jays and can win this division along with being tough contenders. Definitely a team worth rooting for and a solid representation of St. Louis ( who you all killed too! )
