I guess.
But if I'm a mcjesus. I don't think this makes me smile as big as a Big Game Goaler would of.
Might as well kept Skinner.

Army can only sell to locals

I'll wager that Skinner couldn't pack his bags fast enough.

It still simply boggles my mind that a team with sooooo many high draft picks for so long ... has no clue as to how to build a team. They keep thinking they can build it the same way Sather built the Oilers dynasty in the 80s.

It's funny that the team (players) were against (just a second ago) trading either of their goalies; what changed I wonder? and especially just before the holidays (and after a pretty good Skinner win last night).

I contend that the best thing they could do is make McDavid want out, and then do him a favor by trading him for a haul. This trade doesn't dissuade me from believing that that's what they're doing

Oh, I've got one. Send him to Buffalo for Power and futures.

The Blues goaltenders are struggling because they have lost skilled offensive talent to injuries. The young skilled players are now filling in, but have yet to fully embrace the NHL level of urgency shift to shift. This isn't a knock on the kids, but they are being forced to grow up a lot quicker than the organization had hoped.

The Blues had great pressure early last night, but if you look very carefully, there were far too many "one and done" situations. Forwards weren't getting inside the Preds D. And they were woefully soft in front of the net. Nashville was getting the vets matched up against the young kids and the result was predictable. Men against boys. Trouble is, the Blues won't really have any shutdown guys - other than Sunny and Joseph - when they play Nash again on Monday.
you aint wrong. the start of that game should have been 2 goals to 0 based off 5 on 5 skating and then the Blues gave up the 1st one. But you look who is on the ice and it's the young guys when the goals happened. Correlation doesn't mean causation, but the game got out of hand when the wrong skaters were on the ice. It just is what it is at this point.

The Blues have now scored 2 or fewer goals in 14 of the last 16 games. It's a miracle they have gotten wins during that period of time.
Yep, if you can't score on your golden opportunities, your opponent has no fear of making a mistake that might be capitalized on, so they just keep coming and coming and are currently just steamrolling the Blues.

If you want to stop a guy from attacking you with endless haymakers and jabs, you're gonna have to sidestep and land a hook to the jaw every now and then to get it in his head that you're not helpless. And right now, they just can't do that. Even when they do get ahead 1-0 with a nice jab, I can't remember the last time they landed a knockout uppercut.

Some decent goaltending and defense have kept them in the fight but I can't remember, okay just looked it up... How can this be, they've only scored 5 goals TWICE THIS ENTIRE SEASON!?!? And that was the 2nd game of the season against Vancouver and a loss to Philly a month ago. No wonder they're the 2nd worst offense in the NHL.

For a franchise that begat Grant Fuhr and Bill Ranford boy have they lost their way. Tristan Jarry? Puke. Yeah you got rid of Skinner but Stan traded for maybe the single starter who is worse than Stu. At least Skinner's contract is sunsetting.

This doesn't really move the needle for me either. The Oilers goalie problem is probably just as bad today as it was yesterday.
