Mariners just inked Naylor(LH hitting 1B) to a big 5 year deal.
Nothing against Burleson....who has been coming on with the bat....but why would the Mariners want Burleson??
So....to answer your question....basically nobody due to lack of interest.
So that leaves OF/DH.
Not that the Mariners wouldn’t like to have Burleson but I just don’t see the fit where they would part with a significant pitcher.
Maybe with Burleson part of a package but that is a whole different thread.
To be honest the OP is famous for starting these kind of threads.
I consider it mostly a need for attention as he is also famous for starting repetitive threads daily.
And considering his Burleson fixation I find it even more strange.
What kind of starting pitching would the Mariners give for Burleson?

He would play some 1B too. Naylor won't play any more often than Contreras does.Cusecards wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 16:26 pmCould be...although with the Naylor signing scratch Burleson for 1B.Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 10:25 amThey would have interest. Shhh. Next you’ll bag on burley’s defense and then you’ll be on psycho shadys kill list.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 11:51 amHurdy doesn't have great defense...HorseTrader wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 11:43 am Lost me when the writer said the Cards didn't need to sell low on Donovan. Low? That makes no sense. 2 years of control great defense, good offense, where is the LOW at? Shady, tell the truth did you write that article?

I think your posting “history” has been pretty well documented by the vast majority of the forum.Shady wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 16:38 pmDon't give me that attention you accuse me of seeking then, Screwball. Exactly WHAT in my post was inaccurate?
And you’re welcome for the attention!

That's too kind. He takes up space in the corner OF positions and 1b.Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 10:25 amThey would have interest. He would play the same positions for them that he plays for us.Cusecards wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 10:22 am Before responding I did a little research.

His career OAA in the OF is an astoundingly bad -20. A -12 DRS and -17 FRV. He has a negative value arm as well.
He's negative in his whopping 660 innings at 1b across all metrics.
Then there's the eye test, where Stevie Wonder can see he's a defensive liability.
He's a DH.
He's turtle slow on the bases as well.
He has learned to hit after 3 middling years, but not enough to offset his other deficiencies.
And the power is max 20 HRs, which puts him around 72nd in MLB for HRs.
Trade him for anything they can get while he has the dumb sub-Silver batting label.
