What would the reaction be if Bloom traded Gorman and kept Arenado this winter?

Two of the above three entries are out of his control- solid package. It may be solid but performance is the key. Anything less the Donovan is a loss.

Second, trading Nado. Don’t you think if possible he’d be gone.
He doesn’t Have to trade Donovan is the return isn’t there. Go for a sure thing or keep the sure thing you’ve got.

Take big risks with other trades.
True, he does not 'have to ' trade Donovan. What he does have to decide regarding Donovan is this ? A. With two years remaining and age 30 when he reaches free agency , how prudent is it to sign him to a long term deal that would take Donovan well into his 30's (a players declining years ) B. If he isnt here for the long term, am I (Bloom) better to get a package now , or wait one year and see what he could bring then , OR keep him for two years and get a compensation draft pick when I put the QO on him .
Those are some of the considerations Bloom is dealing with .
Yes good summary.

Meanwhile, Moe never got more value than he would’ve gotten from a QO comp pick from any of his trades over the past three years. Panic trading just to get something at the deadline. Hopefully that never happens again.

None of those three will happen.
