Incompetence.......Lets make sure we completely devalue the player and make sure we end up with nothing.

Re: Kyrou - benched
Kyrou is a massive problem for the young guys. This is essentially his career as a Blue.
Big scoring year as one of the worst defenders in the league,
Get's an extension and the vets in the locker room getting upset because kyrou is deemed a selfish 1 way player and not of the mold of the core guys like ROR/Schenn/Barbs etc.
Proceeds to be the worst defensive forward in the NHL in expected goals against.
Has 2 years of improvement in his 2 way game, losing a bit of the offensive juice
NTC kicks in and we are back to not showing up about 50 percent of the games. Kyrou is the only guy on the ice that you can tell how the rest of the game is going to play out by his first couple shifts. Yesterday was absolutely criminal what he did in that 1st period. Proceeded to look disinterested the whole game. We are about to have a huge influx of talent in the next 2 years of under 23 guys. If Kyrou is who they are supposed to look up to, we are in trouble.
But I called it about his play and the standard defenders kept coming out in droves. He got me on board the last 2 years. Hasn't lost the goodwill he gained yet, but it's not going great.

Re: Kyrou - benched
I have no idea if he wants out but the fans are definitely ready to see it.
Don't agree on Tarasenko who competed and whose signature was game tying/game leading goals, but that's neither here nor there re: Kyrou IMO. We agree about Buchnevich.
Re: Kyrou - benched
You can tell he wants out and his language reflects it (from reports). Who wouldn’t want out given all of this and his history. You wouldn’t want in either.seattleblue wrote: ↑06 Nov 2025 12:20 pmI have no idea if he wants out but the fans are definitely ready to see it.

it's an offensive concept what the player wants in this situation. he's a cancer. cancer wishes it could operate in a different body? so whattheograce wrote: ↑06 Nov 2025 12:23 pmYou can tell he wants out and his language reflects it (from reports). At the end of the day, no matter you or I think, the Blues have failed in their management of him.seattleblue wrote: ↑06 Nov 2025 12:26 pmit's an offensive concept what the player wants in this situation. he's a cancer. cancer wishes it could operate in a different body? so whattheograce wrote: ↑06 Nov 2025 12:23 pmYou can tell he wants out and his language reflects it (from reports). Re: Kyrou - benched
Working on ending up with no Kyrou, no Bolduc and nothing to show for it and if that happens it should mean no Doug Armstrong.
Re: Kyrou - benched
I say it in every Kyrou thread...why Kyrou was not part of the Tkachuk offer was absolutely incompetent.
In before someone says that Florida made a better offer. But maybe the Flames valued a young guy like Kyrou more then a 30ish UFA to be. Maybe the Blues offer would have come in before Florida's and the Flames jump on it. Whatever the reason, if the Blues would have at least offered Kyrou and the Flames went with Florida, I would not be hung up on it. I am pizzed that Army lowballed when offering Kyrou was the obvious play.
That was a crossroads moment for the two teams I follow and, well, we all see how it turned out.

Respectfully disagree. This is big boy hockey and at some point, it's on the player.theograce wrote: ↑06 Nov 2025 12:29 pmAt the end of the day, no matter you or I think, the Blues have failed in their management of him.seattleblue wrote: ↑06 Nov 2025 12:26 pmit's an offensive concept what the player wants in this situation. he's a cancer. cancer wishes it could operate in a different body? so whattheograce wrote: ↑06 Nov 2025 12:23 pmYou can tell he wants out and his language reflects it (from reports). Re: Kyrou - benched
You have to place this on Kyrou as well not all of it on the organization. He is doing the same thing he did in Sarnia, and he supposed to have worked out over the summer to build up strength..not seeing ittheograce wrote: ↑06 Nov 2025 12:23 pmYou can tell he wants out and his language reflects it (from reports). And Buchnevich has 0 ES goals in 18 straight games…doesn’t hit, doesn’t block shotsManitobaBlues wrote: ↑06 Nov 2025 12:36 pmYou have to place this on Kyrou as well not all of it on the organization. What’s he doing well? Gonna give him 20 minutes tonight?

Re: Kyrou - benched
I agree with you bud*. Kyrou is in the sullen "See?" cycle of competition and that's where born losers live out their days. You have to wake up in the morning willing to do whatever it takes to outcompete these incredibly determined people chasing millions behind their own real talents. Kyrou just isn't made up that way. I am sorry, people who have it know the people who do not have it. He does not have it.bud white wrote: ↑06 Nov 2025 12:36 pmRespectfully disagree. *Totally off topic but you might like Andre de Toth's Crime Wave (1953) if you like the Bud White character from LA Confidential. I like and appreciate both, but neither film make my top 100 doom noir list due to happy ending violation
