Dewitt doesn’t want to change his business model from 15 years ago to adapt it to the current economic climate of MLB. He is now 100% pinning the future of the Cardinals on a salary cap. And been the NL representative in 5 of the last 9 seasons lol if the post season is just a crapshoot like some falsely claim the dodgers are very lucky and the rest of the teams extremely unlucky

being good helps but [shirt]ty teams like Arizona a few years ago still have a shot

The diamond backs had four players with 24 or more homeruns and had a rookie of the year MVP caliber performance from Carroll and had Kelly and Gallen at
The top of the rotation. They weren’t a [shirt]ty team unless you go by the regular season record which is a dumb way to look at a team going into the post season
