Herbstreet and other talking heads were very impressed with MU's toughness and D plus resilience after their starting QB was carted off the field. Holding a top Heisman candidate to worst performance in two years and sacking him multiple times when no one else has are something. Gracials' emergence as a top guy in rotation is big deal. Secondary doing a great job on receivers shows the D staff can coach up their guys as they sucked earlier in season.
They played a tough top team on the road and gave them heck. Unlike last year when they blew their best opportunities this year they were in it till last second. Big improvement. This team Fights till the end and gives their all.
The loss sucks, but there were some good things

New QB. New RB’s. Mostly new receivers. This was to be a rebuilding year until we realized this year’s team is pretty talented and everyone got their hopes up. We might end up 8-4 this year, but with the weapons we’re developing, if they all come back, next season really could be special.dugoutrex wrote: ↑26 Oct 2025 08:58 am4 favorite words of all Mizzou fansArmchair QB wrote: ↑26 Oct 2025 07:18 am The list of mistakes we made is so long you almost can’t fit them in one thread. Yet there we were on the road at a top 10 opponent in position to win.
If Zollers is as good as we all think he might be, this team could be extremely tough by bowl time. But who knows how it’ll look offensively for the next few weeks. We have a chance to see a big improvement. Zollers can sling it. All we can do is wait and see. This was to be a rebuilding year from the beginning, so if this translates to laying the foundation for an amazing year next year then so be it.

The guys who got paid more played. IMO. BP looked great against inferior opponents. Not so much after that.JackBolly wrote: ↑26 Oct 2025 10:14 amThat would be the hope. Fearful of going back to trying to put square pegs into round holes, like with BP. In fairness though, Drink took a gamble on BP - and it hasn't worked in the SEC. I still do not see how BP beat out Zoller after seeing Zoller play yesterday.
