Goodby baseball if true.

It’s not. What’s needed is competitive series. That draws the interest of fans.
In regards to $$$>>>eyeballs>>>>Network>>>>MLB
Mil metro population 1.5mil
Chi metro population 10mil
Cubbies also have a national following that Brewers do not.
I understand the weight of market size on $ and viewer but the MLB cant operate in a manner of pushing for only large market teams to succeed.

Just my take, I won’t have any interest in watching a Cubs Dodgers series, it shows everything wrong with baseball now. Toronto Seattle is far more interesting to me.

Agreed. It would also be valuable to the long term health of baseball if MLB didn't allow a few teams to buy up all the elite FA. Lots of changes needed.

FWIW, ratings are higher than they’ve been since 2010. Reports of baseball’s demise are greatly exaggerated!

Same here. It's not likely to happen but I would love it - also because neither of these franchises have ever won a WS.
I think I heard SEA is the only team never BEEN in a series.
You heard right.

The NBA got OKC. Why would the MLB try to stop MIL?

So far the Dodgers are 5-1 in the postseason.

If they dominate the Cubs/Brewers and then the AL Champion wouldn't that further point out that big money is creating an imbalance in baseball? And therefore some big changes are necessary to bring some balance back to the game in the form of salary caps or revenue sharing?

If a smaller market team should win it would be fun, but then the big boys can say, "See? Everything is fine!"

I think from a business perspective, MLB prefers that imbalance

It will be the dodgers against probably the blue jays in the World Series. They are probably the only team that has a chance against the dodgers. Dodgers will make short work of the brewers or cubs

That’s because there are so many bad teams no one wants to watch in person and pay a lot to see in person. 20 years ago the cardinals were good and drawing 3 million now they suck and aren’t
