I've been pulling for a MIL-SEA series just so none of the large market teams get in. IMO the value of seeing the smaller market teams succeed is as valuable to the long term health of baseball.

Same here. It's not likely to happen but I would love it - also because neither of these franchises have ever won a WS.

I really like Toronto, and that would still satisfy the largest markets not getting in.

Seattle vs Toronto should be a great series. They look like the 2 best teams in the American League. Neither the Brewers or the Cubs look to stack up very well against the Dodgers. I find myself pulling for the Mariners, but Toronto is fun to watch too.

So the whole point is only large market teams are good for the playoffs and WS??????

Goodby baseball if true.

It’s not. What’s needed is competitive series. That draws the interest of fans.

A side note of a Seattle/ Milwaukee series. The Brewers team originally came from Seattle . They were the Pilots and became the Brewers . That’s why Milw. Brewers were originally in American League as Pilots were in AL

Im wondering, from the OP, WHY is it that they feel MLB needs LA / Chicago? A series where i wish somehow both teams could lose.

Cubbies also have a national following that Brewers do not.
