Hmm, "franchise" meaning, Mailloux is going to be a productive Blue RHD for a long time that the team can build around on the right side. I didnt say HOFer you did. How many teams is Hamilton been on? 4? Karlsson, 3? Where was Makar drafter? Not sure i see the comps hereBalotelliMassive wrote: ↑07 Oct 2025 11:21 amWowzers....Armstrong might be the smartest GM in any sport all time then for trading a third liner for a HOF defenseman...Harry S Deals wrote: ↑07 Oct 2025 11:06 amYep check back with Mailloux is the same age as the players you mentionBalotelliMassive wrote: ↑07 Oct 2025 10:56 amDefine what this means please...

Anyone not leary about Bolduc tearing it up is ignoring history. When Army lets go of a player, that player has often become a huge contributor on Stanley Cup winner, and they eventually sign a huge long-term deal.
Bolduc could very easily become the next Mikola, etc.

It's true! When you follow a professional sports team, sometimes players who started out in your organization go to another one. It's part of sports. fyi for any sportsters who need to hear it

Re: Bolduc line rushes for Mont
100%! Established players choose to leave, despite what management tries to do. Young, unproven players will get snatched off waivers because that's what happens sometimes. And young, talented players sometimes get traded because value gets you value.seattleblue wrote: ↑07 Oct 2025 11:47 am It's true! And there will also be whiny (female canine animals, especially dogs) who can't understand this and just assume ineptness is the reason rather than it being a part of pro sports.

It no longer matters to the Blues what Bolduc (or Mikkola, Ellis, Thompson, etc.) do. They are irrelevant, no longer members of the Blues. All that matters now is what value they get from Mailloux.
Life lesson: Do not worry about things you cannot control. The Blues have no control over Bolduc, or Ellis. Thus, they are no longer of ANY concern from a Blues perspective, outside of encountering them in a game, same context as encountering any opposing player.

Laine on the 4th line though

None of us do. But you know full well that every time Bolduc has a secondary assist in a 6-1 loss there will be 7 threads started about how he was the lone bright spot for the Habs. If he scores two goals in a game we will hear about it for a week. If LM goes -2 some night, and he will, or gets walked on some play where someone scores, and he will, we will hear about Army needing to be executed by a Saudi Arabian firing squad. I have never been more sure of anything in my life.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑07 Oct 2025 10:26 am I hope Bolduc does well this season. I hope Mailloux does well this season. I don’t care to get every update from every game, practice or interview involving Bolduc this season though.
Also, Holloway started last season on the 3rd line too. Where Bolduc is in their lineuo precisely today is pretty meaningless. I just don’t care.
Re: Bolduc line rushes for Mont
Kind of like before it happened nobody on here would have made that trade, If a Habs fan suggested it they would have been told they were crazy. Now the same people agree with it.......bias is a powerful thing.George Zipp wrote: ↑07 Oct 2025 13:19 pmNone of us do. I have to ask. I'll provide a multiple choice answer for your convenience.DawgDad wrote: ↑07 Oct 2025 12:15 pmOK, back to grade school.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑07 Oct 2025 11:32 am Anyone not leary about Bolduc tearing it up is ignoring history. Let's say that Bolduc goes on to have a HOF career, playing key roles in multiple Stanley Cups Wins, and Mailloux is out of the league in 2 years.
Who is to blame for the awful trade of Bolduc for Mailoux?
A. Bolduc
B. Douglas Armstrong
C. The Universe
D. Nobody

Re: Bolduc line rushes for Mont
So you want to use Mikkola as a comp. Several seasons ago, I am pretty sure you included, wanted to trade Mikkola for a bag of pucks. Sometimes, players find the right system and sometimes they finally grow-up and see what kind of off-season work and effort it takes to get better. Also, learn how to spell if you are constantly going to be annoying and contrarian in a forum of fans who pretty much all support the same team.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑07 Oct 2025 11:31 am Anyone not leary about Bolduc tearing it up is ignoring history.
