Im one who wants him gone, but its crazy for me to suggest the very limited candidates that I'm aware of. How about we trust the GM and his knowledge of capable coaches or former managers throughout the league? Its helpful that we'll soon have a GM who is familiar with multiple teams, and credible candidates, not limiting the choices to puppets from the Cardinal organization.

Dewitt is involved (and as the owner has the FINAL SAY) on almost EVERY SINGLE major decision, he's a lifetime baseball man and he makes the final call!

Fans have soured on the Cardinals and I wonder what approval rating Oli has right now.. I guess the question is, why would you keep him? Is he just that good?

It’s a strategy and philosophy…..

Determine a plan and strategy moving forward……what is the best way to build a club for long term success…..that strategy may result in some poor seasons and low attendance…..but it is often the cost for a long term strategy for success…stick to the plan…

Or…..they can approach the future from a ticket sales point of view…..a patch here, a patch there….hey, this warm body will sell some tickets and maybe a third wild card spot..

The ticket office has had a seat at the baseball table too long……..washed up, legacy players might sell to the sheep…..but it’s not the way to build a consistent winner…

I'm all ready for a rebuild and have been for a few seasons. That's what they need and that's what they should have. That includes getting rid of the captain that's been driving this ship. Why alienate even more fans by keeping an extremely unpopular manager while you're doing it?
