You see, that’s why I draw positives from this season. Cards really did nothing in the offseason and they’re wrong .500.

With modest improvements, they could be competitive.

The real problem is the joker who put the roster together. That guy sucks (donkey).

You are not wrong. They'll need SP, I don't think the BP will need much.

Add 75-100 points to the OPS most common 3B on the team which is easy to do when he's
already there and 150-200 points to RF. What's up with Pages?

I hope they get a manager who can deploy creative pitching rotations. If they are waiting for 3 classic starters 170+ innings who are effective it’ll never happen.

They will have some of that but not enough. They will need to deploy openers piggy backs etc. manage to the players capability not the other way around.

The donkey sucker is going to look back years from now when 5 people show up to his red coat ceremony and ask himself why he stayed these last 3-5 years. He’s burned a ton of goodwill and is the object of derision by all real fans of this franchise. Even little kids hate him.

1. In 71 combined starts for the Cardinals this season Pallante, Mikolas and Fedde worked a combined 366 innings only to be detonated for a 5.29 ERA.

Among the 102 MLB starting pitchers that have handled at least 100 innings this season, Mikolas (87th) and Fedde (89th) and Pallante each rank in the bottom 16.

Mikolas has a 5.17 ERA in 125 and ⅓ innings, Fedde had a 5.22 ERA in his 101 and ⅔ innings for the Cardinals, and Pallante’s ERA has festered to 5.22 in 139 innings.

2. This season when Pallante, Mikolas & Fedde have started a game for the Redbirds, the team’s record is a ruinous 26-45 that translates to a .366 winning percentage.

3. When all other pitchers start a game for the Cardinals this season, the ballclub has a peppy and happy 39-23 record for a winning percentage of .629.

As I just posted in GDT, over under is 2.5 on runs Pallante gives up in the first inning. I am taking the over and hoping to be wrong... sigh.

The DeWitts will slide Mo into the red jacket ceremony with a popular former player to ensure a crowd. Probably Wainwright.
