At best 7th on a really good team.
As to AB vs John Kruk,:
BA .264 vs .300
OBP .316 vs .397
SLG .418 vs .446
OPS .733 vs .842
OPS+ 103 vs. .134

Addendum to previous. If he makes 3 all star teams, we are in for a long rebuild and Donovan/Winn/Wetherholt being gone to get the one player from each team designation.

I guess we'll see how it goes. So far Burleson hasn't had a whiff of a chance at an All-Star team. Has he gotten past 2 WAR for his career this year?

Kruk was over his entire career a 34% better hitter than the league (134 OPS+)... and out of 12 seasons he never had one below 111 OPS+... and only 4 seasons below 130 OPS+
Burleson is on average 3% better than league average, and has only once had an OPS+ above 105. His career best season this year is 120, which would be Kruk's 4th worst season.
Kruk's career walk rate was higher than Burleson's career strikeout rate. Just cause they're both overweight and not very athletic doesn't mean they're the same caliber player.
And even being that much better a player than Burly, Kruk only made three AS games, the same 3 years he was finally worth more than 4 bWAR. Burly in his best season this year is tracking to be worth about 1.5 bWAR... really illustrates how far away Burleson is from ever being an All-Star.

The only true comparison between Kruk and Burleson is girth!

It's like people just pick a guy who kind of looks like another guy and they want to compare them but they don't talk about how they look similar and swear it's all just about the stats.

Who's next in the Burly comparison carnival? Jim Thome? Greg Luzinski? Boog Powell? How about Prince Fielder or Adam Dunne?

Wouldn’t you love to see all of CT actually organized in a public meeting?
Ever been in a McDonald's very early in the morning...where you have 6 to 8 old times having coffee shooting the chit...arguing about everything

At least they are involved in a face-to-face discussion that makes them accountable for their actions.
Here you can blurt out the same old same old on a daily basis with zero accountability.

Please list all the hitters the Cardinals organization has developed in the last ten years that are better hitters than Burleson.

A very good poster (not me) made the comparison here a week or so ago.

For the years 2016-2025:
Player/wRC+
Tommy Pham: 123
Jose Martinez: 122
Brendan Donovan: 118
Matt Carpenter: 117
Lars Nootbaar: 113
Tyler O’Neill: 111
Stephen Piscotty: 107
Nolan Gorman: 104
Alec Burleson: 104
Kolten Wong: 100
Tommy Edman: 99
Harrison Bader: 98
Also worth noting that many of those other players contributed meaningful value (as opposed to destroying it) in the field and/or on the bases as well—they weren’t extremely one-dimensional, bat-only players.
