But the roster is still mostly intact.

Would love to see a winning streak to make things interesting.
The problem is that the roster is still mostly intact though.
Been sayin. Other than three relievers one a closer, same team. Same offense. Same defense. Same staff.

Me too.

You can trade off guys and still compete. Never understood why that concept is hard for some.

I wanted to see him want more but I don’t run the team so oh well lol.
The team is in 4th place and is .500. They aren't competing.

You just seldom see a lefthanded closer.
My thinking as well. He might even serve as a part of closer committee, but we need a bonafide RH closer. Granillo may well settle into the role.

Yeah - that's the stretch goal. We got "something", but how much will they ever really help us? Guys at those levels in the prospect rankings often never make the majors. Or post less than 2 career WAR if they do.

I actually hope they find a way to keep him..quality lefty relievers are hard to find.

Yeah. He's been consistently positive for us.

I like JoJo, too.

What was the last truly effective lefty reliever we had for more than one or two seasons? Kline?

He did great in '11, but he was really only effective then. He declined in his first full season here, and then cratered the season after.

To what someone else just posted...Kevin Segrist. I'd forgotten about him.

looks like the depth of the bullpen has been reduced, as expected.
