They said Mo is running the show until August
That makes sense to me but some seem to think we are idiots. Is there something I missed assuming Moe is running the show? According to your post I’m not……
Mozeliak said it himself... that he's running it, that Chaim is available for consultation / collaboration, but that it was status quo for now... that he would engage Chaim IF there was a potential move that would have effects beyond 2026.
As the way it should be. Chaim’s first job was to up the technology and teaching techniques throughout the system, as well as get ready for the draft. That was enough to be in his plate every day.
That’s absurd.
Rojo is absolutely right.
Mozeliak should’ve gotten / taken some sort of chairman or EVP show title for the season but turned it over to Chaim. He’s leaving for a reason. He’s damaged the franchise, and they allowed him one final lap? Stupid.

They let washed up players take a farewell lap….
It’s foolish to drag this out….
What about the no trade clauses?
I’m not referencing current players….
But, for the record I think it’s foolish for a club to allow NTC or opt outs..

It is unbelievable that he would have that level of involvement with his departure mere weeks away. It tells you a lot about him. And what it tells you isn’t good. I’ve been in his position (retiring from a company) and at some point you just hang back and let the ones who will be there after you leave make the decisions. The ego with that man must be incredible. He should be insisting that Bloom have a say so for future matters. And Bill should be telling Moe to stand down.
Mo is 100% large and in charge. They are not going to call it a walk year and Bloom has these duties away from decisions and then suddenly act like he is somehow involved with this fiasco. Dewitt will want him to be clean of this year and walk into the off season as that being the moment he will be yanking chains. This is all MO. Bloom probably just offered his two cents behind closed doors on who to draft, who he sees as potential keepers and what he would like to be left with. Mo will make the deals and decisions from there.

I think it’s Moe but a select few think Chaim wouldn’t take a 5 year deal with one of them being a transition year.
It happens in corporate America all the time. Growth office joins but sits on the side lines learning etc for months / year before taking over or really any executive. It happens all the time.
Anyway if their flawed logic holds true we have another Moe on our hands.
Are going to give Chaim a nickname like “Moe”?
Maybe like “Off Key Chime”? OKC?
He may never get a nickname.
After all, he isn’t a bow-tie wearing, sweater-tied around the neck, pompous, clueless, worthless slug like his predecessor.

Dewitt has to be terrified of Mo for some reason. He’s let Mo and his ego run rampant with no repercussions for too long. And now we are seeing it cost him millions in ticket sales, concessions, etc etc. and drove this once envious team into complete irrelevance.
Even if Mo was his best friend you would think Dewitt would at the very least just be like “hey Bloom is taking over just ride things out and kick your feet back” but he continues to let Mo be a cancer at the expense of his product.
He clearly can’t tell Mo what to do, which begs the question…….why?
It's crazy to think Mo would be allowed to continue to make bad decisions with his replacement just waiting to take over. But the paralysis this past winter and the current fiddling while the team burns...that's pure Mozeliak. Convincing himself that he's being patient, when in fact he's just scared of making another terrible move.

I'll reserve judgement on Bloom. After all he was fired by the Red Sox.
Show me.
Reminds me of an old saying from my single days. You can be excited about that hot new girlfriend all you want, but somewhere there's a guy out ther who got sick of her [shirt].
