Who's your pick at #5? And why? Let's see how much better it looks than Hernandez for the Cardinals future.

Maybe he’s taking a nap under the Tum Tum shady tree?
He is a bird.
Says the man that promotes his opinions with multiple screen names hahaha!! You’re one shady honkey G!
Let me try to give you a sincere comment. I know it’s done but in today’s world I don’t understand using early picks on high school kids. I get the talent and the potential but the way the college game and college programs have evolved, it just seems to me you get a much better picture of a player that has played against talented competition in college.Shady wrote: ↑12 Jul 2025 12:05 pm The Cardinals need to take him. The top high school pitcher in the nation. Some say the top talent in the draft. He has absolute ace potential. How many chances will the Cardinals get to obtain the top high school pitcher in the country? We've seen the importance of having a true ace in the rotation. Could Hernandez evolve into another Skenes-type? Very possibly.
That makes a lot of sense.Jatalk wrote: ↑12 Jul 2025 14:50 pmLet me try to give you a sincere comment. I know it’s done but in today’s world I don’t understand using early picks on high school kids. It wouldn't surprise me if the Cardinals go with a more advanced, safer, collegiate prospect like Arnold over talented high school prospects like Hernandez or Willits. However, they may gamble on Holliday is he slides to #5. Actually, Arnold was considered the #1 pick in the draft by some earlier in the process.Jatalk wrote: ↑12 Jul 2025 14:50 pmLet me try to give you a sincere comment. Oh no, we have yet another Shady sock account. I admire your dedication Shady/HardMaple/HonkyTonk I got too tired to continue
I wouldn't touch Hernandez and I'd be shocked if Mozeliak would.
I'd be OK with Arnold. It would be a solid choice. It could happen. An Old Friend wrote: ↑12 Jul 2025 17:26 pmI wouldn't touch Hernandez and I'd be shocked if Mozeliak would.
I'd like Arquette or JoJo Parker. If it's a pitcher, I like Arnold over both Anderson and Doyle.
The Cardinals don't know how to coach talent (YET). Rob Cerofolio is making changes, but there is still a bunch of damage done.
Law and McDaniel both have Cardinals taking Willits.Shady wrote: ↑12 Jul 2025 17:41 pmI'd be OK with Arnold. It would be a solid choice. It could happen. An Old Friend wrote: ↑12 Jul 2025 17:26 pmI wouldn't touch Hernandez and I'd be shocked if Mozeliak would.
