Trade deadline
-Tough to answer today
-He'd like to add but wants to see where they are over next 25 days
-Need to get healthy
-Hererra further along than thought, hopefully re-hab prior to ASB
-Wouldn't commit to anything specific
Mo talk Add mans to try to sneak in as last wild card. Fans want add to mean they to win a WS. That’s the disconnect
They weren’t favored to win the WS in 2006. They weren’t favored to win the WS in 2011. And they weren’t favored to make it into the WS in 2013.
I doubt if they’ll ever be favored in the future, unless the development system works excellently.
While all of that is true, there is no one on this team that even resembles Pujols, Yadi, Edmonds, Holiday, Cris Carp or Wainwright like those teams had.
Very few of those across MLB
Very few of what? Really good players? Maybe check out the All Star game and you’ll find them. It’s just they don’t play for us
Yeah and when Micheal Busch is better than anything you have in your line up your in trouble

Did he get drilled by an errant ball? Shh. Don’t answer. Let the mystery hang out there.
Mo-ran is just a pretentious (buzz)...so smug and most fans can't wait for his (donkey) to go home to his beautiful family

Mo isn't committing to anything because he doesn't want to do anything at the trade deadline. BDW needs to hand full power to make decisions. Mo is a lazy (donkey) and is biding time coasting to retirement.
I have another theory. I'm not sure that it's true that he doesn't want to do anything, or is lazy. I think he avoids actions because he doesn't know how. He doesn't know who to trade for, who to trade away, or who to sign, so he does as little as possible. Better to be called cautious, or lazy than to be discovered as a fraud.

When Jimmy asked him about Mo approach as bring business , he discussed about some things he didn’t like in his job, without going into specifics.
He seems to be burned out. He decided a year ago he wanted out but stayed on this year .
The lower attendance and decreased revenues have taken their toll.
Hoping Bloom is more upbeat and positive. It’s like Mo can ‘t wait to walk out the door. Bye bye
Fans need to see some personality , smiles ,and enthusiasm.

Payroll was high due to Mo handling out stupid contracts.
No it wasn’t. Every WS the Cardinals won they had a top 5 farm and most importantly a top 10 payroll. That is currently $215. And the Cardinals are at $130m with another $40m coming off this year. Until that formula is resumed we will not have a wS caliber team. Mediocrity is the new standard

I was talking about payroll numbers after 2013. Leake, Holland, Gregerson, Fowler, Miller, Cecil, etc. Those idiotic contracts inflated the payroll with very little to show for it.

For some reason some CTers think free agency is cheating. That a championship means more if you win it with homegrown guys. It’s a very reserve-clause era mentality.

So why not spend now? Their farm rank is rising. 12-13 and have the #5 pick. Perfect time to go add that elite MOTO 30/100 guy in his prime. They have $100m to spend on that and a TOR SP
