Dont care about his little bit of baggage, thats usually the only way aya get a coveted player, unless ya overpay. Good luck findin that elusive RHD otherwise. They either have to overpay an over the hill player, draft it, which is too late with Army’s stated age range of players, or trade for it. I bet Mailloux would be an instant favorite after he showed his grit and dont take no sheeet.

Mailloux is just not a good enough prospect to return Jordan Kyrou. That's a weak trade. Montreal has a potential #1 RHD prospect his name is Reinbacher. But just like with the Nemec idea it's got to be with something else significant and Montreal doesn't have the + to Reinbacher from off their roster that really suits the deal.

LIke many of Army trades, a big part of the return is to erase the salary commitment to the lost player. Once Army determined that Kyrou was not a good fit going forward, the 5-year commitment was a huge downside to keeping Kyrou.

So in any trade, subtracting Kyrou and his committed money has a lot of value to Army and the Blues.

Keep insisting that a player outproducing his contract is somehow a bad contract for the Blues. Look up the number of players who have averaged over 70 points per year over the past 4 seasons and realize that his contract is not a negative at all. How many players do you think have done that in that time period and are making 8.1M or less per year going forward? I am not a big Kyrou fan, but make your posts make sense.
