update: 3-0 now with a better record than the Pads
Oli > Mikey
Bigger question - when can MIL go back to losing (and playing someone other than basement dwellers)?
Well the Brewers start a series in NY vs. the Mets on Tues.
Both teams currently in 2nd place in their dviisions as the top two wildcard seeds. 37 losses each (Cards have 38 losses )
So when the Brewers/ Mets are done with their 3 game series, one of them will have either 40 losses (if swept all 3 games OR one team will have 39 losses with the other at 38 ). Cards need to take care of their own business and win the Pirate series. A 2 out of 3 vs Pirates would mean the Cards will pick up at least 1 game on either Milw. or NYM.
I thought winning 2 of 3 in Chicago would be close to impossible because I thought they were facing Boyd and Imanaga. Just saw Cubs are off tomorrow so Cardinals are not facing Imanaga next weekend.

Gray and Libby should be lined up Chicago next weekend. And yes Mikolas also.
I'm assuming McGreevy pitches a game against the Pirates.
According to MLB.com Gray is scheduled to pitch Wednesday. Surely Oli isn't that stupid. Gray should pitch Friday, then Libby Saturday, then take it from there.

I am not sure we can bring McGreevy back that quickly. I think when he is sent down, we have to wait 10 days to bring him back. He last pitched June 24. That puts him past the Pirates series before they can bring him back.
Gray apparently does not like pitching day games. The last Pittsburgh game and first 2 Cubs games are day games. So probably should just pitch him against the Pirates on Wednesday and go from there.
