It will work out. That's good, he got a great Agent. I believe there is mutual respect and appreciation between Holloway and the Blues. We let him know that he is wanted here and he recognized the opportunity and demonstrated we were right to do so. Both sides will find a win-win.
The blues got him for peanuts. If he believes in himself we will see how much the blues respect him.
Some his behind the scene numbers were elite.
And yet when they signed him, you told us they overpaid for both guys. The Blues took a risk and it worked out beautifully. Now they will have to buck up……as it should be.

I think it was toward the end of the season Holloway and Broberg combined for an OT goal vs vancouver. Strickland said on Hockey Sense that he talked to Holloway some time after that game. Holloway mentioned that he and Broberg wouldn't have been on the ice in that situation if they were still in edmonton. Strickland stated or at least implied that Holloway is very happy with his situation in st. louis. I don't remember exactly how he phrased it.
if Holloway had stayed in EDM, I would bet that Perry would be getting more TOI than him
just baffling how little EDM thought of these 2
anyways, I'm guessing Army will re-sign these 2 this offseason
I'm wondering how much Steen will be involved in the contract talks since essentially the contract does not start until he's the GM.
Does anyone know if Chiarelli still handles most of the initial contract discussions/structures?

He's wrong on both of them.
But by all means, he'll tarnish the Blues every chance he gets.
There's a score of possible reasons that could have led Holloway to do this. We'll know in pretty short order if any of them relate to some kind of unhappiness or dissatisfaction with the Blues organization.
It's ridiculous to imply such a thing at this juncture.

there is nothing that would even remotely indicate he would be upset with us. We gave him a chance many other teams wouldn't. He's going to be a very rich man because he signed a contract and donned the Blue note.

Franky, I love ya brother, but PLEASE stop quoting Tampon... For those of us that have him as a foe, we can't see his Blues Hating drivel... And look, now he's responding yet again (which thankfully I can't see). Follow roadkill's example and just respond without quoting, OR better yet, come over to the Light Side and add him as a foe... we have cookies...

Naturally. He's the queen of flip flopping.

“Obviously, that would be really nice and it would be something that would be great,” Holloway said of a possible extension. “At the end of the day, it’s not up to me. It’s up to management. I still have one more year to prove myself, too.
“I’d love to stay in St. Louis long-term. I loved it this year. The team is great, the guys are great, the city is great, the fans are awesome. It was a super fun year. I’m just looking forward to next year, just hoping next year, we can go even further"

Yeah, you’re right Pete. I try hard and rarely respond to the goof, but it’s just hard sometimes!

I would give Holloway 8 years ASAP. Don't let him get more valuable.
Broberg on the other hand showed flashes and I am definitely intrigued for his future, but I don't think I'd back up the Brinks truck quite yet. A bridge deal with a higher AAV and lesser term would be preferable on him to me.
