Holloway Hires McJesus' Agent
On Saturday, it was announced that Holloway was parting ways with his agent Blake Robson of Dynasty Hockey Group and would instead be switching to agent Judd Moldaver of Wasserman Hockey moving forward. Moldaver is viewed as one of the most powerful agents in the sport, representing high profile clients like Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid and Toronto Maple Leafs captain Auston Matthews, but in spite of that the moves comes at a curious time...

Re: Holloway Hires McJesus' Agent
Holloway is eligible to sign an extension in 23 days, perhaps what will end up being the biggest contract of his career. And this writer somehow infers that must mean he regrets leaving Edmonton? Moronic. His previous agent was pretty green. To me this just signals he’s gearing up for a contract negotiation. Not much to infer beyond that at this point IMO.

I was literally typing the exact same thing. Glad to see that’s how you interpret this as well.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑08 Jun 2025 08:20 am Holloway is eligible to sign an extension in 23 days, perhaps what will end up being the biggest contract of his career. I think it was toward the end of the season Holloway and Broberg combined for an OT goal vs vancouver. Strickland said on Hockey Sense that he talked to Holloway some time after that game. Holloway mentioned that he and Broberg wouldn't have been on the ice in that situation if they were still in edmonton. Strickland stated or at least implied that Holloway is very happy with his situation in st. louis. I don't remember exactly how he phrased it.

if Holloway had stayed in EDM, I would bet that Perry would be getting more TOI than himb-a-a-a-rclay wrote: ↑08 Jun 2025 09:04 am I think it was toward the end of the season Holloway and Broberg combined for an OT goal vs vancouver. just baffling how little EDM thought of these 2
anyways, I'm guessing Army will re-sign these 2 this offseason

I'm wondering how much Steen will be involved in the contract talks since essentially the contract does not start until he's the GM.moose-and-squirrel wrote: ↑08 Jun 2025 09:16 amif Holloway had stayed in EDM, I would bet that Perry would be getting more TOI than himb-a-a-a-rclay wrote: ↑08 Jun 2025 09:04 am I think it was toward the end of the season Holloway and Broberg combined for an OT goal vs vancouver. Does anyone know if Chiarelli still handles most of the initial contract discussions/structures?

Re: Holloway Hires McJesus' Agent
lots of times, agents at these top firms have very good relationships with GM's, PBOB,ETC. And they go in, knowing what each other wants, and deals get done, usually the [nonsense], leg work, is the bottles of expensive scotch, whiskey, etc that the players/firm will be paying for, that the GM and Agent enjoyed, when they get signed.John Cocktoastin wrote: ↑08 Jun 2025 08:13 am On Saturday, it was announced that Holloway was parting ways with his agent Blake Robson of Dynasty Hockey Group and would instead be switching to agent Judd Moldaver of Wasserman Hockey moving forward. One local agent, who's with Tenn firm, now, said majority of his meetings with GM's were to have a great meal, great chat, enjoy expensive liquor, on others dime. It was <"leg work". He said they already knew what each other wanted and the numbers.
Re: Holloway Hires McJesus' Agent
I wonder which teams(s) might be on Holloway's no trade list.

It will work out. That's good, he got a great Agent. I believe there is mutual respect and appreciation between Holloway and the Blues. We let him know that he is wanted here and he recognized the opportunity and demonstrated we were right to do so. Both sides will find a win-win.

The blues got him for peanuts. If he believes in himself we will see how much the blues respect him.Old_Goat wrote: ↑08 Jun 2025 12:52 pm It will work out. That's good, he got a great Agent. And yet when they signed him, you told us they overpaid for both guys. The Blues took a risk and it worked out beautifully. Now they will have to buck up……as it should be.theograce wrote: ↑08 Jun 2025 13:00 pmThe blues got him for peanuts. Peanuts, eh? $2.29M a year is peanuts?? Or perhaps a 2nd round draft pick is peanuts? Isn't it great to have the benefit of hindsight? Certainly the thought that the Blues plucked Holloway from the Oilers "for peanuts" was not bantered about last summer! Hooray for peanuts, I like mine honey roasted...
