Broberg hated playing the right side in Edmonton and I bet a lot of Fowler’s effectiveness would be neutralized being forced to play the right side. It’s just a really bad idea.
Aaron ekblad is a rhd and we would have an amazing dcore.

As for alexandrov why is everyone so down on him he is 24 good age.

I don’t think the Blues will get him but if they’re going to throw money around this summer, he definitely fills a big need
they have SOME money, but not enuff for that signing imo
If we move leddy 4mil then faulk at 6mil. There are other things too

We were beaten with our 3rd pairing and 2nd line on the ice and both of those were highly effected by health IMO
I agree but adding the toughness that ekblad.brings plus he is a better two way and could be the jaybo to broberg. Two dynmite blues d and kessel was from what his couch said the best player on team last season. Tucker u know is ready put the kids together.

Also.leddy faulk and sutter can go.

Point per game player in ahl. 24 years old # cemter in ahl

48 gp 21g 28a 50 pts +4

I think he could fill the third c we should know more in camp. The fl and mid.day espn also agree ekblad would be a good get and we could use his toughness. Perfect partner for broberg. Heavy shot and florida camt leep him
Alexandrov has largely shifted to wing in the AHL, so going back to center in the NHL is pretty unlikely. He definitely had a solid year though and I hope he gets another crack with the Blues.

Well I think Ekblad would be an upgrade but he is just probably not where I would spend the capital considering what I expect the market to be for him.

Much like the center position other team will want him far me than we can afford to want him IMO,

Can you think of playoff team with cap and a young dynamic core with three great dmen. Look what we did for fowlers career. Ekblad gets a chance at another cup run. We are only getting better amd top of that. We cam wait for dvorsky to be ready he might even make the leap next year.

Well if Ekblad is interested in STL I'd talk to him for sure.

Yes, Ekblad is a RD. The person I was replying to however, suggested signing either Provorov or Gavrikov (both lefties) and then shifting one of our current lefties to the right side.

And Alexandrov is a tweener. Not skilled enough for the top-6 and doesn’t bring the intangibles needed for the bottom-6. Not enough to permanently steal someone else’s job anyway. And he’s a winger now. And waiting until training camp to even sign with the Blues this season…so I wouldn’t be remotely surprised if he decides to sign with some team in Europe than try to keep the N.A. dream alive. I’m not counting on him at all. Like, at all.

I still cant get over how fowler just dominated. If we got ekblad to work with broberg man that could be the piece. 3c is still a thing but nringing in someone like bennet ect could be problematic. Also heard necas. What are your thoughts

Ekblad is getting 7/$63mil easily. I would imagine there will be multiple teams that will pay it.

yeah....doesnt bring much to the table. I wouldnt mind him as a 13 orc14th forward on the bench. Maybe hes just a late bloomer so it wont hurt to have a look in the pre season.

But he probably wont beat out Torpo or Walker and Faska (if he is back). Sunny should have 1 bench spot and the other will likely good to Joseph or Texier unless we can manage ti move 1 or both of those 2.
