Based on assumptions that 90 wins would easily take the division, I thought the Cards could compete for the NLC with this staff--providing of, course, the kids hit. I think the hitting's on the right track.
But the Cubs look like a team of destiny. That, or they're in for a major fall.
Regardless, whether they're trying to win and/or give the kids "runway" it makes NO (Ef'En) SENSE for McG not to be starting in MLB.
