3-3 with LAD gone. Toronto for three. Would like a 2-1 series win here.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑08 Jun 2025 07:49 am Ok 3-2 in this stretch with a blown 7-2 game. Serious potential in stl. Need a big bat and tor starter.
That's underperforming what was thought.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 08:08 am Give the board credit. We called this stretch as a tough one, maybe even a make or break stretch.
3-7. And Cincy is hot.
Agree. We can beat these teams. Several close games and a blown 7-2 lead.Bully4you wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 08:19 amThat's underperforming what was thought.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 08:08 am Give the board credit. We called this stretch as a tough one, maybe even a make or break stretch.

They are going through a bad stretch.
I hope it turns around today.

No Donnie in the lineup hurts. No Walker either, and I cannot believe I just penned that.... WC cannot carry the team alone. Burley is NOT an OFer. Gorman is a bad defender. These things hurt when your offense is lagging. Still, they were completely lifeless last night. They had a day off and should have been ready to play. They need to get it together quickly or they will dig a very big hole. I think the latest blown BP games really deflated them.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 08:22 amAgree. 2-2 on one run games. Have given up 28 runs last five games. Can’t out score that.Bully4you wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 08:28 amHow many did we lose by 1 run?sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 08:22 amAgree. We can beat these teams. ..and deflated by the blown BP games. They should have beaten Toronto 2 out of 3.... They have to find some way to right the ship while they await the return of Donnie and JW. At least Granillo looked pretty good last night. Small victories.... Noot has vanished. They are short of OF bats anyway at the best of times, but with JW out and Noot AWOL.... not good.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 08:35 am3-8 since Walker out. Walkers bat aside, his defense would have stopped several doubles and maybe a triple. And his arm slows the first to third threat. These factors make a difference, prevent runs, allow pitchers to pitch, and we win.bccardsfan wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 08:39 am..and deflated by the blown BP games. Oh I agree. When your offense is struggling, you need pitching and air tight D to stay in close games. Things snowball when you make errors or simply don't make plays that should be made. They went from tight D to this with the injuries. Gorman played matador D with the grounder, and Burley is NOT a good OFer. He is adequate at 1B, but an adventure in the OF. You have to make every play when your offense is running on 3 cylinders, and your BP in on fumes.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 08:43 amWalkers bat aside, his defense would have stopped several doubles and maybe a triple. I’m saying his absence has been huge. Now add your best hitter.
