These things hurt when your offense is lagging. Still, they were completely lifeless last night. They had a day off and should have been ready to play. They need to get it together quickly or they will dig a very big hole. I think the latest blown BP games really deflated them.

Oh I agree. When your offense is struggling, you need pitching and air tight D to stay in close games. Things snowball when you make errors or simply don't make plays that should be made. They went from tight D to this with the injuries. Gorman played matador D with the grounder, and Burley is NOT a good OFer. He is adequate at 1B, but an adventure in the OF. You have to make every play when your offense is running on 3 cylinders, and your BP in on fumes.
