I've had it with Bumbles and his singles, no glove, no speed. He's dumb too. Nado walks in front of him and he goes up swinging.

Like many of you, I'm not impressed with Burleson, overall, as a hitter, right now. But I feel he has more to give than he is showing now. I'm pretty sure Marmol wants him in the lineup vs RHP. But without the power production, he should be at #7 in the batting order. #6 at the highest. Until the power/RBI production improves. Problem is, who hits at #5 or #6 if Contreras is at #2? Contreras should be at #5, right now. I'd really like to see what Saggese could do at #6 or at #2. I thought Saggese produced well at #2 recently.

Wasn't his average hovering in the low .200's before he suddenly hit 5 singles in the last 2 days? lol
Look, I don't know if Burly changed hot dog brands, but whatever caused his power outage is no longer an anomaly. That bat is zapped.
Can only hope some warmer weather will bring around our "future stars," cause right now they look hopeless.

Problem is that if burlespn is playing, hes blocking saggese from playing. At some point burleson and as much as i hate to say it- but eventually walker if things dont improve- need to sit more and let the producing youngsters like saggese play. I was higher on walker than burleson but im not gonna give him a free pass. His struggles for 2nd season are troubling.

That's fair. Also, an Arenado trade could get Saggese more ABs. But that might not happen until the trade deadline. Obviously, if the Cardinals are, somehow, within reasonable striking distance of a division championship or wildcard birth.
