Interesting?
Again....it all depends on the return!
Many here have speculated on making some kind of deal for pitching(As I have also).
We all know Gorman’s power upside but if he brings an intriguing starter in return you have to consider.
It always depends on the return of course. I would trade him.
I would also for a significant pitcher.
Just my opinion but I have my doubts that Gorman will ever learn adequate plate discipline.
Now last night he looked much much better as he actually got pitches over the plate to hit.
Time will tell.
He's been chasing that high fastball since pony league

True....and a bunch of bouncers also!
Gorman and some of our hitters need to emulate Rudy Stein and lean into the first inside pitch.

After this recent losing streak. Would Arenado open up a few more teams he'd accept a trade to?

Why don't you call up your Red Sox scout buddy. Maybe he can figure out through the grapevine the answer to your question!

Only kind of painter we get for Arenado would be a house painter and you don’t want one from Philly if you know what I mean.

Look, the bowling alley guy knows way more about these things than a Bosox scout.

If there's not a household name mentioned coming back the other way, its not a rumor.

Somebody from Athlon Sports cited somebody from Bleacher Report who believes Arenado would be a good fit in Philly. That is idle speculation, not a trade rumor.
Speculation based on a hint.
Bleacher Report hints that with the terrible start from Bohm, the Phillies might be forced to do something a bit drastic in approaching their issues at third base.

The Phillies don't have a great farm system and I don't think they will give up Painter, albeit, I think that is what the Cards ask should be. If they can't get him, they should probably ask for Abel and Cabrera, their #8 and #11 prospects, both SPs. Who knows if they will make it, but it adds to the arm pile that the Cards need to accumulate while opening up playing time for Gorman and Saggesse. With all of Mathews, Hence and Hjerpe hurt at the moment, the Cards lack of arms in the minor leagues is stark. They need to replenish the talent pool. It should be clear to everyone this team will not win this year. If one of Abel or Cabrera could be a rotation piece in 2026 and the other a bullpen piece in 2026, that would be a huge trade win.
