Somebody from Athlon Sports cited somebody from Bleacher Report who believes Arenado would be a good fit in Philly. That is idle speculation, not a trade rumor.

If we fall out of the post season chase quick. Like soon, we could see movement. At 9-14, we are two losses from being just one of three teams to make post season with that record. Meaning slim to none.

Why wait at that point.

Phillies have allegedly been trying to trade Bohm since the off-season and there were weekly "rumored" trades involving Bohm since then. This is just another tool organization trying to manifest something.

That seems to be enough for a headline nowadays

They've been batting Bohm 8th all year after what seemed like a breakout season last year. Well, he tailed off toward the end and he accumulated a lot of doubles and rbis but the final slashline doesn't look particularly special.

Philly seems like a good spot for Arenado (it was on his list) but I don't think we'd need Bohm. Think we'd rather think about Donovan, Saggese, or Wetherholt as choices we have that can play 3B.

If true and Mo doesn’t jump on it we need to rush the fortress with pitch forks and torches.

Ok ....I readily understand why the Phillies would have interest in Arenado.
Bohm has been disappointing and Arenado could help put them over the top in the NL as they are already one of the best in the league.
Then as I finished reading it didn’t even comment on a possible return.
So what exactly should MO “jump on”?????
I’m ok moving Nolan for a decent return but not a truckload of Cheesesteaks!

Trading Arenado would be fine with me if we got known quantities in return. We have a tendency to trade talent for unknowns with potential. Unfortunately our scouting and talent evaluation seem to wrong most of the time.

Interesting?
Again....it all depends on the return!
Many here have speculated on making some kind of deal for pitching(As I have also).
We all know Gorman’s power upside but if he brings an intriguing starter in return you have to consider.

It always depends on the return of course. I would trade him.

My concern would be Bohm heading to STL has part of the return package.

Gorman or Burly part of package hell yes..

I would also for a significant pitcher.
Just my opinion but I have my doubts that Gorman will ever learn adequate plate discipline.
Now last night he looked much much better as he actually got pitches over the plate to hit.
Time will tell.
