I loved the finale, and I think they 100% stuck the landing. I was wondering what was going to happen, how he was going to get out of it, and I think the way they went made some sense. I loved it, and I think what a strong finale does is really cements the entire season, and makes me excited for season 2.
SPOILER SPOILER. Stop reading if you haven't watched the finale. You have been warned. Last warning. SPOILER.
I mostly agree with you. It was rather predictable that he was not showing up for the flight and would end up on Corbin Bernson's house stealing valuable stuff from it.
I have one nitpick. Well, not really a nitpick. Because of my job I know that criminals are generally really stupid. It's why they get caught. I want to know what compelled Olivia Munn's character to save the suicide note and hide it? Why not set the (bleep) thing on fire? I know the detective got her hands on the supplemental medical exam that showed the different ballistics (didn't seem to spur her on to do much did it). But the "smoking gun" was the note and all she had to do was torch it. Or hide it better.
I suppose I also want to comment that super wealthy of Westchester County are really [shirt]ty at locking up and protecting their homes. I know I have my own issues with suspending reality but geez.
Anyway, I also can't wait for S2. This show was quality entertainment, well made, well acted, good sub plot story lines. Kudos Apple.

I didn't really think about that, but maybe because it showed that he still loved her and she wanted to keep it as a memento? Which is weird, because she hated him. So yeah, I don't know, I can't really think of a good reason for that one.

So none of these people have security cameras in/around their home? I know they were able to disengage the alarm but cameras should still be operational.
Regardless, there's probably a mentality where these items have no value to the owner rather than being status symbols so they don't really care if they're stolen because they can easily afford to replace them or have great insurance coverage.
Curious to see how season 2 will play out. It appears that James Marsden has already been cast so we'll have Cyclops battling Don Draper.

Apple TV has done it again … another excellent show.
Jon Hamm plays the role of a rich financier & socialite who loses it all and resorts to stealing from his neighbors. Then you also have the dynamic of his cheating ex-wife, shacked up with his good friend and a former NBA star. Also his sister with mental health struggles that he is helping. A lot more too than I care to even touch now.
The production values are high as always, and the character development on this one is really well done. Good stuff, check it out
Thanks for the heads-up. Now that I finally, at long last, have Apple+, I've got it bookmarked.

Yeah, you made my point for me better than I was able to. I kept saying to my wife "we have two ring cameras in our podunk lil home in Creve Coeur so how do these guys not hire the Mossad to secure their homes."
I think there is a ton of merit to your idea of they don't really care if stuff is stolen because of easily replacing and the insurance. A lot of the theft scenes were slow, lingering shots of Don Draper (well played) pilfering thru watch drawers, jewelry boxes, closets, offices etc. Production taking their time to show us all of the stuff the rich have.

There was one episode when Coop mentioned having a Wi-Fi jammer to shut the cameras off.

Good catch. If Olivia Munn wasn't in that scene, I was probably only paying half attention

I think it was the other hottie, Aimee Carrero.
But I had the same thought you guys did, until he made a point to say it. You have to suspend your disbelief a lot on the show, but that one would be a little much, breaking into these houses without even covering his face and getting away with it over and over. Even then, a lot of people that rich might have hardwired systems that don’t rely on Wi-Fi. But at least they made an effort to write in an explanation.
