I don't care where the power comes from, they just need to find some somewhere.

Burleson sucks. Your posts suck. Get over yourself.

Lol I bet Mo secretly loves this. After all the backlash he's got and knowing the fans hate him now he's probably thinking yeah this is what y'all get  "enjoy your [shirt]ty team this season and probably a bunch more"

Nah, idk that obviously but it's fun to think about ha

Mo is done shopping.
At the trade deadline, he needs to try to pick up some power at the corners for the future.
Most likely they will be sellers not buyers.

Competitive ABs? Heck, this isn't Khoury League! No one give a rat's turd how competitive his ABs are!

My guy? I root for the entire team! I even root for your beloved Burly despite his;

-0.1 WAR
0 HR
.350 SLG
.660 OPS

For a fat boy who can't run and is hitting 5th every night, these numbers are pathetic!

They entered the game as MLB’s only team to score at least four runs in every game -- one game shy of the National League record to open the season set by the 1954 Cardinals. The Redbirds were also first in MLB in team batting average (.291) and third in runs scored per game (6.45).

It's the pitching

Just a few hours ago you said Mo should reverse course and press the button hard on the reset plan. Now you want him to “go shopping” for not one but two established power hitters (without specifying what he could/should use for consideration).

You’re the human weathervane.
Shady wrote: 09 Apr 2025 16:03 pm Mo needs to re-establish his plan for a reset this season. This team, as is, lacks the consistency to compete for the division title and even a wildcard birth.
Take that, Shady. The corrector always looms.
Ah, I see my stalker is back.

Hi Cranny, hope you’re having a nice evening.
And you haven’t stalked other posters, NY?

Yep, Contreras is really struggling. But Arenado and Nootbaar aren't going to produce the needed power. Arenado now has middle infield power and Nootbaar has centerfield power. Walker might have the needed corner outfield power in the future.
Remind me...how much power has Burly shown? How many HR has he hit this season? Is he ideal as a #5 hitter?
but he led the team in RBIs last year so that's all that matters

Even though he bats 5th, he won't come close this season.
He can't run and has no real power (career .400 SLG). Heck, Lou Brock had a .410 career SLG!

Bullhockey. There is no way you root for Burleson. You are obsessed with him playing poorly just so your rubbish can be supported. By the way, Contreras shouldn't be hitting 2, 3, 4 or 5 in the batting order right now.

Ha! I'm not obsessed...you are the one who has started dozens of threads about him. You are the one who got kicked off The Cardinal Nation because of your obsession.

Like all Cardinals, I root for him to succeed...but...I also can acknowledge with no animosity towards him, that he's a mediocre (at best) ballplayer. He is what he is unfortunately...a fat, slow, poor fielding, singles hitter. IF he hit home runs he would have value, but he now has well over 1,000 PA's and a 0.3 fWAR which says he's average.

Well, MDT, technically Burleson's -0.4/0.2 fWAR/bWAR would indicate he has been replacement-level, which is actually well-below-average.

But Cranny will be along soon to scold me for being a "looming corrector," so I won't quibble with your description . . .

I think he's below average, but I tend to give players a break.

Maybe it's me...but I watch him and I just don't see Joey Votto or Tony Gwynn.

One thing I have always noticed about you is that when someone calls you out on something you almost always try to gaslight and turn it around on them by saying things like “of like you don’t, look in the mirror”

I’d be willing to bet you never had a male figure in your life and were raised exclusively by women, I can almost smell your yeast infections simply reading your posts…..
