Strange....I know I typed "Burlson might be in Memphis next week"....I never mentioned that's what I thought, I raised the possibility.Mort Gage wrote: ↑16 Mar 2025 17:51 pmOli adores your hero so we will likely be stuck with another 600 PAs of mediocrity. If there was a Hall of Fame for liars, you'd be first ballot, Marshall!

With koperniak going down so goes some of the much improved offense people were talking about this spring
Re: Saggese, Koperniak, and Helman optioned
If I were Koperniak I would ask for a trade.
Re: Saggese, Koperniak, and Helman optioned
He's earned his chance. Same old Cardinal [nonsense]. He should probably be starting in RF.

Barrero is uber talented and I look forward to seeing if our "new" development team can help him lessen the gap between "talent" and "performance." As much as I think Siani is better than his offensive numbers, why the heck are we placing more value on him rather than Koperniak. This is LUDICROUS!!!!

The Cardinals don't give chances.Ronnie Dobbs wrote: ↑16 Mar 2025 16:51 pm Man, too bad for Koperniak. I know he's yet another lefty, but the guy has to get a chance at some point.
They anoint some players and dismiss others long before the season begins.
We have seen it many, many times.
Koperniak's best chance of leaving Memphis is a Cardinal leaving Busch in an ambulance.

You are perfectly correct on all 4 points.Jobu's Rum wrote: ↑16 Mar 2025 17:34 pmGlad Barrero and Baker made it, Scott should be starting. I would have put Koper in for Siani.vegascardsfan5890 wrote: ↑16 Mar 2025 16:26 pm Looks like the bench is Barrero, Baker, and the other Scott or Siani
Easy.
Obvious.
Correct.

Rightly or wrongly, both were publicly promised at least 500 PA's in 2025.

The opening day roster is not the roster for the entire year. There will be lots of movement between STL—MEM and lots of IL time. I suggest stepping back from the ledge.
