Something that has been missing at Busch for half a decade. You bottle that success and excitement the fans will come.

you just keep insulting us, shooting t shirts from girls prancing on the dugout, handing out trinkets and hoping we keep throwing out large sums of money.

You cut corners in scouting, development, and infrastructure, Hope nobody notices and ride the bfib 3m per year theory and hope for the best.

The cardinals arrogantly and at times offensively went with that model. It’s bit them in the (donkey).
What a strange take on the situation you described. I've been to more than 100 blues games the last 4 years and at least twice as many Cards games in the same time period.

The Enterprise center only holds around 18k for hockey, it's indoors, everyone is packed in tight. They play half as many games. If the Cards only played half the games in a venue 40% of the size, everyone was packed in tight indoors and the field was the size of the ice, it would be more crazy. The reverse is true also, if the blues played at Busch 81 times it would be a ghost town with low energy.

I've seen empty seats and partially filled sections on weeknights at Enterprise center also. Even in their worst year the Cardinals will still triple the best Blues year in attendance.
I was referring to the energy of a team driving into the playoffs vs the cards mediocrity. Yes. I realize they’re are many differences between baseball and hockey.

Games mattered. Shifts mattered. Every play mattered. That electricity has been lacking at Busch.

It's an interesting observation you make to me. How do you measure that? Baseball has traditionally been more of a gentleman's type game. A lot of the old timer fans get upset if you root too hard and take it too serious. Millennial and GenZ fans are the best baseball fans of all time as they are different and bring more energy and excitement to the ballpark. Hockey has always been a more rough tough gritty loud experience. When you cheer at a baseball game like that old timer golf clap type baseball fans will look at you funny or leave. It's expected at a hockey game.

A few years back when Pujols was doing his thing chasing 700 home runs it was just as rowdy and people were engaged on every play. Baseball is non stop action and hockey also takes breaks for fans to rest. I guess I just don't know how you can measure that. I find baseball to be way more exciting, more engaging, having more energy and excitement and it isn't even really close.

Yep. I took my son to Game 6. It was the most electric atmosphere I’ve been to at a sporting event. The next day we went to Busch before the rain was ultimately rained out, and it just felt…sad. Neon lights out at the top of the stadium. Cracks on the bases of the statues out front. My kid and I had a choice to pay $15 each and bring his own item to get an autograph from Stephen Piscotty, when the night before, Blues alumni were handing out and signing stickers and taking photos for free. The team store had no Victor Scott swag, but all the City Connect jerseys were on sale. Before the game was called, people entered the stadium, got their bobblehead, turned tail and walked out. Granted, the weather clearly played a factor and this was before the team’s play had picked up, but it was depressing. Will Leitch reported something similar on his podcast. There was a vibe of “we don’t care.”

It needs to get better, and it starts with ownership.

This is 100% true in STL, where the old biddies who used to complain if you stood up at a Rams game now hang out at Busch. A trip to Dodger Stadium is a far different animal. Louder, more raucous and energetic.

Please. Watching a game at Dodger Stadium is like going to a Super Bowl party where the game is on in the background, but nobody is watching. Both crowds are loud, raucous and energetic, but it’s not because of the game.

I was at the game yesterday...Section 148...biggest crowd since opening day (and no booing of DeTwit and Mo-ran)...team's playing well plus Ohtani, and easily a third of the crowd was wearing Didger Blue.

90 percent of the fan base lives far from STL. Me- 800 miles. What are we supposed to do to show fan support in your estimation.
I haven’t watched the last 2 games. How were the crowds?

I wasn’t there, but it looked on TV like a much better crowd. Exciting game.
