Re: Holloway
Schwartz did have the ability/willingness to play with his back to the goalie and get cross checked into oblivion while he waited to redirect the puck. Haven’t seen that from Dylan yet. But he does go to the dirty areas.

Re: Holloway
If Holloway incorporates that into his game situationally then that would be great. Since he playing so well as is I don't want to change his game unnecessarily though. I mean this sincerely but maybe he can do it all.schwartzwatch wrote: ↑19 Mar 2025 19:12 pmSchwartz did have the ability/willingness to play with his back to the goalie and get cross checked into oblivion while he waited to redirect the puck. Re: Holloway
I don’t think Holloway isn’t willing to be the net front presence. He drives hard to the net all the time. Hes always using his speed. He has a much better shot and speed than Jaden did. He also has no issue ever driving wide in the corners to get the puck and taking a hit to do so. I wish Kyrou would take notes on that. He slows down in that situation and lets the other player go for the puck and tries to get it back which mostly never works. Holloway is a hound on the puck

He probably wouldn’t have become this version of Holloway in Edmonton.George Zipp wrote: ↑19 Mar 2025 08:12 amHard to tell but if you read EDM threads over at HOF or randomly on Twitter (yeah, I know, not the best source for much) they sure miss the guy. The number of snarky "sure, we don't need Holloway when we are busy trying to figure out who to play with McDavid and Leon and scratching this guy one night and that guy the next" that have appeared, especially since the first of the year are constant. There is no way this version of Holloway is a 4th liner anywhere.Red7 wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025 22:37 pmAnd, maybe he would be. Point is, in STL, he got an opportunity he probably wouldn’t have gotten in Edmonton. As far as the overpayment, if he had been a pick of the Blues and performed to this level, he’d probably be getting the same money as RFA.2forDiving wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025 21:51 pm But he’d be on the Edmonton 4th line according to Oiler fans just ansk any of those esteemed hockey geniuses.![]()

Re: Holloway
Sure. But there certainly were flashes during the playoffs last year. I don't think he would have been stunted on their 4th line all year, especially with the injuries and inconsistency they have been dealing with all year.Red7 wrote: ↑20 Mar 2025 13:53 pmHe probably wouldn’t have become this version of Holloway in Edmonton.George Zipp wrote: ↑19 Mar 2025 08:12 amHard to tell but if you read EDM threads over at HOF or randomly on Twitter (yeah, I know, not the best source for much) they sure miss the guy.
