Tough one from today's Baseball Reference Newsletter so I'll include hints.
Yesterday JJ Wetherholt tied Stan Musial for the 8th most walks (62) in a single season by a Cardinals rookie. Name the seven rookies ahead of them.
I'll start the hints by giving you the two obscure names. Joe Orengo had 65 walks in 1940 and Steve Evans had 66 in 1909. If you know anything about these two, please share.
So we're down to five. Most of you will recognize the names of the others. There's a HoFer, a future manager, and a couple of RoY. Three debuted in the 50s, one in the 90s, one in the 20th century aughts.
The top guy had just 75 walks so Wetherholt is likely to be the Cardinals Walking Man at the end of the year.
I'll check back in an hour or so.

Albert and Wally Moon I know for sure. Will guess Zeile and Donny as two others. The others I have no clue.jcgmoi wrote: ↑17 Aug 2026 17:08 pm Tough one from today's Baseball Reference Newsletter so I'll include hints.
